Jack Martin
The Oakton Cougars are a team to watch for next couple of years, I profiled their dynamic wideouts already but the young man throwing them the pigskin cannot be ignored. Quarterback Jack Martin may be the missing piece to get Coach Slay’s offense in rhythm in 2024, watch below how throws the deep ball so effortlessly. He has a great touch on every throw and you can see the chemistry he has developed with Deylen Jones and Braylon Vazquez. Martin has been working on his game vigorously this off-season and boasts a 4.17 GPA. The future is bright for Oakton, cannot wait to see how Martin leads them to the next step.
Kareem Soliman
Kareem Soliman
This young man has a relentless motor and goes all out on every single snap. Loudoun County’s Kareem Soliman can play on the defensive line or at linebacker and should see the varsity field a ton come this fall. He is already 6’0 and 180 lbs. and is still growing, major upside for this sophomore to be. He flies off the football and is pain to block at defensive tackle, he also can run and cover very well at linebacker. Should be interesting to see where the Captains line him up, one thing is for sure, if you watch his special team highlights alone you know he wants to make an impact immediately.
Jayden WIndham
Jayden WIndham
Chantilly’s Jayden Windham is going to be a playmaker no matter where the Chargers put him at next season. He can catch, run and throw and has played quarterback, receiver and defensive back, if he is not on the field more come his sophomore campaign I would be stunned. Really like the way he battles, very competitive/hardworking young man who deserves your attention. I think his future is at receiver for the Chargers but the way he is so physical at the line, defensive back may be a great option for him as well.
Donovan Brown
Donovan Brown
Really like this kid at safety for the Colgan Sharks as a sophomore this year, he can play both the pass and the run very well. Donovan Brown is athletic enough to cover plenty of ground from his free safety spot and he knows how lay a big hit too. I have been high on Coach Scott’s squad since last season when I witnessed firsthand what his staff is all about, Donovan Brown has a great chance to be another piece to their puzzle.
Isaac Eckrote
Isaac Eckrote
The Yorktown Patriots have some studs coming through the pipeline and Isaac Eckrote is another example of one. Eckrote is versatile lineman that is athletic enough to play guard on offense and tackle on defense, he flies off the football. His technique and footwork are very good too, you can tell he knows what he is doing. As he grows into his body, once he adds 15/20 lbs. this kid could be playing at next level very soon.
