Class D2-Class AA Player of the Year
Despite falling short of the ultimate goal of a state title, Roberts was near flawless this year leading his Bears team to 10 wins while putting up some big numbers through the air. The Bears senior passer produced 3,029 yards on the season while throwing for 30 TD’s with 10 picks. He was very strong through the 2nd part of the season where Roberts was on a tear, throwing some dimes and producing a ton of yards. Throughout his entire career at DA, Roberts was a consistent winner that always had the Bears in position to compete within the playoffs but his senior year was definitely his best where he proved to be the top quarterback on the year for the 2023 season.

Offensive Player of the Year
Clark has been nothing but consistent and productive throughout his Panthers career and he put together yet another strong season last Fall, eventually landing him a spot with the Wake Forest Demon Deacons. As a senior this year at FRA, Clark III ran the ball 209 times for 1,805 yards and 31 touchdowns. He also contributed in the pass game too with 18 receptions for 271 yards and 1 touchdown. Clark III was the teams go-to, most dependable offensive weapon for multiple season’s, including this past Fall where he helped lead his Panthers team to a semifinal appearance and 11 victories. This guy’s running style will now be in ACC next year with the possibility of seeing the playing field early in his career.

Defensive Player of the Year
Taking his talents to the college level at Cornell this Fall, Cameron had his best season yet in a Spartans uniform where he produced 154 tackles, 12 TFL, 3 sacks and 2 interceptions. Cameron has been a standout backer for multiple years at Knox. Webb where he constantly produced big defensive numbers while being that consistent, dependable leader that showed up each and every Friday. He was a major force for a Spartans defense that was one of the best not just in the East TN region but the entire state. Cameron certainly earned this honor and I would not be surprised to see earn bigger honors upcoming on the collegiate gridiron.

Coach of the Year
Gary Rankin – Boyd Buchanan
Taking his Buccaneers team all the way to the D2-Class AA championship game, Rankin did what he does best and that’s win! Everywhere this guy goes, he turns programs into title contenders and he had the Bucs on the threshold of achieving just that last year. The one key factor behind earning this award for Rankin is that fact that Boyd Buchanan was a young team last Fall that wasn’t expected to go all the way but they did and now the Bucs could be considered a title contender for the ‘24 season.

Positional MVP’s
QB: Braden Streeter Braden Streeter 6'2" | 190 lbs | QB CPA | 2024 State TN – CPA
– Streeter didn’t have as big of numbers as some others but he earned this award due to his accuracy, efficiency and leadership. The Lions signal caller threw for 1,811 yards with 22 touchdowns and only 3 interceptions on the year while leading his CPA to another state title.

RB: Elijah Robb Elijah Robb 5'9" | 200 lbs | RB Pope Prep | 2024 State TN – Pope Prep
– It was a struggle for the Knights this year but it wasn’t because of Robb as this senior back was the lone steady presence on offense this year where he produced 1,728 yards with 15 touchdowns on the year.

WR: Markeis Barrett Markeis Barrett 5'11" | 170 lbs | WR Knox. Webb | 2024 State TN – Knox. Webb
– Barrett could have easily been considered for Offensive or Defensive player of the year after producing 16 touchdowns on offense and picking off nine passes over on defense. Those dynamic skills will now be on display in Nashville at Vanderbilt this Fall.

OL: John Wayne Oliver John Wayne Oliver 6'6" | 280 lbs | OL CPA | 2024 State TN – CPA
– Wayne Oliver had his most dominant season yet where he did not allow a sack and consistently drove his men back into the 2nd level, opening up holes in the running game. His work this year placed himself as the top O-line prospect in the state for the ‘24 class.

DL: Isaiah Mullins Isaiah Mullins 6'2" | 225 lbs | DL Davidson Academy | 2025 TN – Davidson Academy ‘25
– The 2023 season was a breakout year for Mullins where he helped establish an edge presence on the Bears defense, producing 38 tackles, 15 tackles for loss, 3 forced fumbles and 6 sacks. Mullins is talented, so I expect these numbers to jump even more this Fall.

LB: Crews Law Crews Law 6'1" | 215 lbs | LB CPA | 2024 State TN – CPA

DB: Charlie Parolli – Northpoint Christian
– Parolli led the D2-Class AA ranks in interceptions this year with 5 while also producing 27 tackles from his cornerback position. His play on defense was a big reason for the success this year at Northpoint and their ride into the playoffs.
