Ashland-Greenwood’s Landon Sobota Landon Sobota 6’4″ | 300 lbs | DL Ashland-Greenwood | 2025 State NE is a player who would be top 30 as either a defensive or offensive lineman. Landon has clear next-level size at 6’4″ and 295 lbs, with underestimated quickness that makes him dangerous on the field. He does a great job using his size and strength to dominate with violent hands to help him break off blocks. Landon can line up in the 3 or 5-tech, with his ability to collapse the edge when lined up over the tackle and how well he can clog up inside runs lanes when moved inside. By year 3, teams realized that you cannot leave Sobota singled up, so double teams kept him from posting gaudy numbers on defense, but he still posted 17 tackles, 2 TFLs, forced three fumbles, and recovered one. Landon’s impact on games at both OL and DL is hard to overlook, and he will likely be recruited at both.

With several players around him heading to the next level, McCorter has the opportunity to be a focal point of the Storm defense. Goeser had an outstanding junior year in which he racked up 96 tackles, 13 TFLs, 2 sacks, and an interception. When watching McCorter’s tape, the first thing to pop out at me was the intensity and physicality he plays with— non-stop from snap to whistle. He can fire out of his stance to shoot his gap and get to the ball carrier quickly, explaining his penchant for making plays at or behind the line of scrimmage. McCorter is very balanced as a run defender and in pass coverage. He sniffs out run plays immediately and has the downhill speed to reach his spot quickly. Goeser also showed that he can use his hands and twitch to disengage from blocks at the line of scrimmage. McCorter plays smart in pass coverage, never seems out of position, and always makes any reception near him a hard-earned one with his physicality. Great blocker on offense as well. Start dropping those offers ASAP!
The Discoverer’s defense is lucky to have their 2023 tackles leader back in junior Tyler Zwingman Tyler Zwingman 6’3″ | 190 lbs | LB Columbus | 2025 State NE . Tyler had a great breakout year after recording 77 tackles. 2 TFLs, a sack, forced two fumbles, and recovered two fumbles. Tyler excels the most when he can play downhill and attack the ball. Zwingman was impressive against the run, where he just let his instincts kick in and flow to the ball. He does a good job reading his keys and can fill in his gaps very well. Tyler also did very well as the team’s long snapper, displaying consistent placement and power. So far, Tyler has been flying somewhat under the radar, but that should pick up once teams get him on campus/to camps.

Ainsworht’s Owen Blumenstock Owen Blumenstock 5’11” | 170 lbs | DB Ainsworth | 2025 State NE was a big eye-opener at the PRZ Stock Up showcase and was among the top DBs in attendance. Owen had a great junior campaign as he posted 38 tackles, 8 TFLs, a sack, four fumble recoveries, a forced fumble, 116 rushing yards, 264 receiving yards, two rushing touchdowns, and 5 receiving touchdowns. Owen played a versatile role on Ainsworth’s 8-man defense, lining up at cornerback and in a safety/LB hybrid role, and did exceptional in both spots. At cornerback, Owen displayed his ability to play physically and jam receivers at the line of scrimmage. He has quick feet, great speed (4.61 40-yard), and is very loose with his hips, allowing him to change direction and transition in coverage. When playing from the safety spot, Owen showed he had no problem stepping up to defend the run with the closing speed to get to the ball carrier quickly and prevent long gains. Athletic/strong frame, great natural athlete with nice testing numbers, versatile, and physical… get at this guy ASAP!
