York had the best offensive performance on either team Saturday with 123 yards on four receptions with two touchdowns.
He is able to create separation with his route running and uses his big frame to win 50/50 balls.
York is signed with Weber State but one coach called him “severely under-recruited.”
Highlights
Ruff took the majority of snaps at quarterback for the South and threw for 170 yards with two touchdowns. He would have had a higher completion percentage if not for a few drops early in the game.
He has great touch on the deep throws and the ball jumps out of his hands. Ruff is committed to the University of Chicago and has the potential to be an early contributor there.
Rubin was the leading rusher for the South and didn’t put up big numbers, but did a lot with the playing time he was given.
He is twitchy and can run downhill. Rubin is considered under-sized but is a rugby guy with a high motor who some college should take a chance on.
Blaine Anderson
Blaine Anderson
Anderson made a circus catch on a third down to save a scoring drive for the South. He ran solid routes, has a good catch radius and isn’t afraid to take a hit after the catch.
The South offensive line as a unit played well and allowed just one sack. Lancaster was the best of the bunch due to his ability to get to the next level.
He has great timing when leaving his double team to bounce to the linebacker. When he does get to the second level, he has good head placement and drives his feet through contact.

Marques Guzman
Guzman showed impressive speed and frequently created separation from the South corners.
He is explosive out of his stance and led the South in receiving.
Miali made some big throws for the South but also impressed me with his legs. There were multiple plays that were dead that he was able to scramble and get first downs.

Jared Hoggard
Jared Hoggard
Hoggard didn’t do much until the second half where he made defenders miss with his agility after the catch.
He has good instincts once he gets the ball and isn’t afraid to lower his shoulder to get that extra yard.
