This team has by far the most talented returning roster in the state and it will be extremely difficult to knock them off from the top spot. However, multiple programs within United Red have top notch talent that have the ability to compete for the division.
In this article I will be highlighting some new faces within the division. There is a lot of talent in the division that we all are familiar with by now ( Quincy Porter Quincy Porter 6'4" | 195 lbs | WR Bergen Catholic | 2025 State NJ : top WR, Jahmir Joseph Jahmir Joseph 6'1" | 175 lbs | DB St. Joes Regional | 2025 State NJ : top DB, John Forster John Forster 5'11" | 180 lbs | RB St. Joe's Monvtale | 2025 NJ : top RB, Dominic Campanile Dominic Campanile 6'1" | 160 lbs | QB Bergen Catholic | 2025 State NJ : top 5 QB), and here are some you will become more aware of this offseason and into the fall.
While not the full starter in 2023, Kahden Davis Kahden Davis 6’0″ | 200 lbs | QB Seton Hall Prep | 2027 State NJ is ready to step up in a big way for his Seton Hall next fall. The top QB in the NJ 2027 class, Kahden is a tall, athletic passer that already looks and plays like an upperclassman. With unbelievable play recognition and ability to decipher the defense, Kahden also has the accuracy to ruthlessly pick coverages apart. On top of that, Kahden is equipped with rare arm strength that can get the ball where it needs to be extremely quickly. Putting in an immense amount of work this offseason, Seton Hall has a stud in Kahden Davis Kahden Davis 6’0″ | 200 lbs | QB Seton Hall Prep | 2027 State NJ . Make sure to keep a close eye on what he is able to accomplish next fall and beyond.
Highlights
An elite linebacker that deserves a spot in the Prep Redzone rankings, Kaden Irby-Mason is a top tier talent for the star studded Bergen Catholic. Making 60 tackles and 4 sacks in 2023, Kaden looks like he is shot out of a cannon anytime he’s bringing heat off of the edge. A sure tackler, Kaden can go one-on-one in open space with some of the best backs in the state. As he keeps his feet moving and stays low in his approach, Kaden pounces on the runner when the opportunity arises. A smaller linebacker, I can see Kaden thriving at the strong safety position in the future.
The second Bergen Catholic product on the list, Ethan Cohall Ethan Cohall 5’11” | 190 lbs | DB Bergen Catholic | 2025 NJ is a dominant safety that is able to cover a large territory in the secondary. Racking up 61 tackles, 2 forced fumbles, 2 interceptions, and a sack, Ethan can cover sideline to sideline and vertically as well. Ethan can create havoc in the backfield anytime he is bringing the pressure. He consistently disrupts the timing of a play and force the runner to break away from the play design. A defender with very quick acceleration, Ethan is able to close in on runner faster than they anticipate.
Anthony Perrotti
Anthony Perrotti
The 2nd biggest threat in Bergen Catholic’s pass attack, Anthony Perotti will have plenty of opportunities to shine in 2024. Catching 326 yards and 3 touchdowns last season, Anthony a speedster that can torch defenders down the sideline. A fluid route runner that sets defenders up for mismatches and separation, Anthony has the potential to take a quick route the distance. And with agile feet, Anthony is one of those receivers you want to get the ball to early and let him work his magic.
A big presence in the middle of the field, Justin Cook Justin Cook 6’0″ | 210 lbs | LB Seton Hall Prep | 2025 NJ is a talented, run stuffing linebacker for Seton Hall Prep. Racking up an impressive 105 tackles and 2 sacks in 2023, Justin can deliver punishing hits to runners as they try to navigate through the interior. With the strength to not give up an inch against a power back, Justin can then proceed to drive them backwards for no gain. Another player I believe should climb up the rankings, few will find success running up the middle against Justin next season.
