The early standouts in the Class of 2027, from what I have seen, are the offensive linemen. In particular, there are three athletes that I want to spotlight today. Athletes that are looking like they are well on their way to being FBS level recruits. They are already checking off so many boxes that you look for in the top of the line OL prospects. So let’s talk about it in depth below!
Brogan Kjellesvik
Brogan Kjellesvik
Brogan looks like a kid who is ready to commit and head to college this fall, but the 6’4″ 255 lbs OT is only a freshman for Morris. The tape also makes you think he has far more experience than one season under his belt. Brogan shows a quick burst out of his stance in the run game, gives a strong initial pop and then clamps those big hands on and runs his feet through the whistle. That seems to always be more than enough to drive his man off the ball, away from the hole, and wherever he wants them to go. I’m most impressed by Brogan in pass protection. He is a dancing bear as he is able to mirror edge rushers well, stays balanced, and uses his length to make first contact. Big things are ahead for the freshman OT.
Carlos is another freshman OL prospect that looks like he is ready for the next level when he steps off the bus. He checks in at a massive 6’4″ 280 lbs. The big man does a great job of playing with his hands, landing big initial punches and being able to control DEs. Carlos is able to create a push in the trenches with that massive frame, and can get up to the second level. This is going to be a fun career to watch unfold because there is so much room for development in Carlos’ technique and agility. Check out the film and keep a close eye on him.
Highlights
We end with one final massive OL. This time it is 6’6″ 270 lbs Josiah Wallace Josiah Wallace 6’6″ | 250 lbs | OL IL . This kid thrives in getting a massive push off the line and then burying kids into the ground. He quickly gets on his opponent, making first contact with his elite length. The leg drive quickly wins the strength battle and then the aggression takes over as he finishes violently. Josiah is at his best as a run blocker, and I can’t wait to see his technique and body control develop over the next three years. He has a bright future.
