The updated top 150 for the class of 2026 in the state of Kentucky has been officially published! With that being said, I wanted to take the next week or so to break down these rankings by position. After already covering the quarterbacks, running backs , and wide receivers, I will now turn my attention to our top tight ends in the class of 2026 in the state of Kentucky.
Will Morris Will Morris 6’2″ | 230 lbs | TE Mayfield | 2026 State KY jumped onto our radar and stood out as the top tight end in his class with an impressive sophomore season. Morris played a key role in the Mayfield passing game, catching 15 passes for 234 yards and a touchdown in 14 games. He has the speed to pose as a vertical threat down the field and also has the hands to make tough catches in traffic. Will is also a very impressive blocker. He does a great job of running his feet through contact to drive his man several yards down the field to create a running lane. Morris doesn’t currently hold any offers but he is definitely a player for college coaches to keep an eye on over the next two seasons.
Jaxson Byrd Jaxson Byrd 6’3″ | 205 lbs | TE Barren County | 2026 State KY is another tight end that jumped onto our radar this season. He finished his sophomore year as his team’s leading receiver, catching 40 passes for 519 yards and three touchdowns in 11 games. Byrd is an impressive route runner, showing the ability to use smooth breaks in his routes to create separation. He also has the speed to blow by opposing defenders in the deep passing game. Byrd also played a role on the defensive side of the ball, finishing the season with 16 tackles, two tackles for loss, and one interception. Jaxson doesn’t currently hold any offers but is a player to keep an eye on heading into his junior year.

He has shown the versatility to line up as both a true tight end on the end of the line of scrimmage and outside at receiver. When the ball is thrown his way, he has shown the ability to use his big frame and high catch radius to his advantage to catch passes at their highest point which makes him very reliable in jump ball situations. Farrell also made an impact on defense at defensive end, finishing this past season with 13 tackles, seven tackles for loss, and three sacks. Keegan doesn’t currently hold any offers but he is definitely a player to keep an eye on over the next couple seasons.
