– It may seem tough to call a receiver who caught 46 passes for 472 yards and 2 TDs a sleeper, but the (6’2″ 192) Fiene just scratched the surface of his potential in 2023. Karsten had a great offseason last spring and tested with a 4.72 laser forty and 35″ vertical jump. The multi-sport athlete has sure hands and runs good routes as a reliable option for his QB. Look for even bigger things ahead for him in 2024.
Xavier Gammon DL
Blue Springs South
– The (6’3″ 230) Gammon was impressive when I saw him in action last season with his quickness, motor and get off at his defensive end position. Xavier is a battler who put the OT on skates and keep the pressure on all game. As he continues to grow and gain strength he will be even more of a problem for opposing offensive linemen. As a sophomore he had 47 tackles and 5 sacks as a sophomore. Look for him to to be a player you hear more about in 2024.

– Were (6’3″ 230) showed good strength and ability to rush the pass and get in the opponents backfield in a hurry and make plays. He has good quickness, a good motor and does a really good job fighting off and shedding blockers. Jonah has a frame that suggests he can stay at DE or bulk up and play inside along the defensive line. He’s still raw but his potential is really good if he continues to develop his skills. He is also a talented thrower in track.

– A player who looks poised to have a potential breakout season is the very quick and fast Davis (6’3″ 205) who caught my attention last spring at camp with his performance and especially his speed testing. He is athletic and has the ability to be a problem coming off the edge as he continues to develop and learn the game. He had a extremely talented defensive line he played behind full of D1 prospects who won the class 6 state championship last year. He will have his opportunity to step up and show what he can do in 2024.
