Top Showcase Pass Catchers
Earning MVP honors for the receiver position at PRZTN Winter Showcase, Jones had a stellar day from start to finish where he performed well during testing but it was his work throughout 1 on 1 competition that allowed him to take over top honors. Defensive backs had a difficult time keeping up with Jones due to his playing speed and quick feet. The Tigers rising senior made sudden cuts throughout his routes that made life tough on defenders. His game fits well in the slot but his ball skills could allow him to work outside as well. Jones will need to continue developing but the talent is definitely there to see his recruitment spike up over the coming months.

A consistent performer throughout his high school career thus far, Harper continued that style of play at the PRZTN Winter Showcase where this Nashville area product earned MVP honors for his tight end position. That honor was earned after Harper tested very well for his position then during 1 on 1’s, the Bears rising senior was excellent with his route running and dependable hands. I don’t remember too many dropped balls out of Harper during the showcase and he also looked quite smooth running with coming off a big injury. Expect to watch this guy’ stock continue to rise over the coming months as more and more coaches check in with the PRZTN TE MVP.

Holt is a true hidden that tore the turf up at our Winter Showcase where he barely missed earning MVP honors but definitely took his stock to another level in my eyes. Standing about 5’8 160 pounds, Holt is undersized but he plays much bigger. Defensive backs had a hard time keeping up with Holt due to his quick feet and speed. Those skills proved strong during testing where the Blue Devils senior proved to be the best at his position and among the best of the entire camp. Holt is definitely under the radar right now but with more performances like the one at our Showcase, this Mid-Tennessee talent will definitely get on the college map.

Coming from out of East Tennessee as one of the top offensive recruits in attendance, Laisure did not disappoint as he put on an excellent display on ball skills for a player his size that will translate very to the collegiate level. Laisure is a big boy that moves well but it was his hands and route running that stood out the most. Smaller defenders could not body this guy up and bigger guys couldn’t stay on path with Laisure due to his quick feet and football knowledge. Once the ball arrived, Laisure didn’t drop many passes. He was as reliable as any receiver at the Winter Showcase, showing me and others why this East Tennessee product holds multiple D1 offers with interest coming from many other strong suitors.

Robinson is a definite prospect to watch over the next few years as this Memphis area product displayed a variety of D1 college traits at our PRZTN Winter Showcase that translate very well to the next level. Fast with quick twitch in his lower base, Robinson is a tremendous athlete that used his feet and sudden movements to move around and past defensive backs all day long. The Purple Wave rising junior tested at the top of the list for his position then earned top honors as one of the better performers during 1 on 1 competition. Robinson will need to hit the weight room hard to fill out his frame but the athletic talents are there with the potential to develop much further.

Coming off a breakout junior season, Hayes, Jr came to the Winter Showcase set to build his name further and I believe he did just that. The Wildcats senior to be had a solid showing in front of coaches and scouts where he displayed excellent lower body movements along with strong hands and the ability to find the ball through traffic. Hayes, Jr has tremendous ball skills that lends his abilities to be played outside or slide into the slot. He is such an athlete that I feel he could develop very nicely at defensive back as well but receiver is where is upside may reside the best where I think Hayes, Jr will definitely be playing on the FCS or maybe D1 level in the near future.

Dragoo, Jr is an unknown guy going into the 2024 off-season but after his performance at the PRZTN Winter Showcase, coaches and scouts should start taking a deeper look into this prospect. The Blackman 6 ‘1 185 pound athlete showed definite potential as a receiver or even maybe a defensive back for the college game with a variety of skills performed at camp. Dragoo, Jr has a physical body/frame along with good arm length and the strength to shield off defenders and fight for the ball. He showed those traits at the camp in Murfreesboro where he went up against strong competition. Much work has to be done to fulfill his potential but Dragoo, Jr can get there with continued work over the current off-season.

This rising Mid-Tennessee junior was one of the more pleasant surprises at the PRZTN Winter Showcase as Vaughn used his athleticism and quickness to wow many in attendance. The Cougars athlete performed very well during testing then proceeded to excel in 1 on 1 competition where defenders had a hard time with his short space quickness. Vaughn is an undersized guy that is set to play slot on the next level where his skill set can shine the most. Potential is there for Vaughn to reach the college level with continued work in both the weight room and playing field.

Well built physically with good overall size for either side of the ball, Spencer worked out at receiver during the Winter Showcase and performed really well, especially with his route running and the ability to bring in tough catches. This West Tennessee product has been very active so far this off-season with 7v7 work and our Showcase where he earned his place on this top receivers list due to his consistency throughout the duration of camp. Spencer does need to continue getting faster while continuing to develop his overall game but I like what I see from this prospect, who could have a future in college at wide receiver.

Mullen is a true worker that does just about everything right while doing so with the utmost effort. That’s the kind of performance he put on at the Winter Showcase recently that landed him on this top receivers list. The Eagles rising junior is a two-way talent that participated at receiver where he displayed excellent feet, route running and tremendous hands. Mullen is an efficient ball player that has good, not great speed but it’s his instincts and football smarts that consistently puts himself around the football. The Winter Showcase was another solid off-season performance from Mullen and I’m sure it won’t be his last.

Athletic with quick feet, Binion was one of the more explosive receivers we had at the PRZTN Winter Showcase where he displayed excellent upside that could be developed well on the collegiate level. The Blue Devils rising junior had a solid overall camp where he performed a variety of skills that landed him on this list. Probably the biggest trait that stood out the most to me was Binion’s route running and ability to separate from his defender. Binion can run, which is a strong trait that coaches pursue and want. This Mid-Tennessee talent will need to continue packing on more size while developing his game further but the talents are to one day become a college recruited prospect.
