Logan Cummings
Logan Cummings played quarterback for West Chester East last year either at the Freshman or Junior Varsity level. Cummings is a classic drop-back quarterback who does a nice job of setting his feet and delivering the football from the pocket. He is great size standing 6’2 inches tall. Cummings constantly knows exactly where he wants to go with the football before the snap. Cummings also is a good athlete who can move. He does a nice job on sprint-out passing games where he sets his feet and throws the ball on the run. Cummings showed some good progress and should have a chance to play Varsity this year as a quarterback.
Rahaan Ortiz
Rahaan Ortiz
Rahaan Ortiz’s film is limited and it is from his Freshman football team, but he flashed some good skills. As a running back he showed good ability to hit the hole and make people miss. Ortiz also showed once he gets into the open field he has good speed and has the ability to run by defenders. Ortiz is a good player who should play some varsity next season.
Carl Komorowski Carl Komorowski 6’1″ | 170 lbs | WR West Chester East | 2027 State PA ‘s film is from either the Freshman or Junior Varsity level for West Chester East. He was the top target for quarterback Logan Cummings. Komorowski played outside receiver and showed good skills at the position. He was really good on fade passes when he can either run by defenders or catch 50/50 balls where the defender is draped over him. He also caught the ball well in traffic and ran good routes. Komorowski projects as someone who should contribute to Varsity next year.
Jaivin Peel Jaivin Peel 6’0″ | 170 lbs | QB Western Beaver | 2027 State PA had a tremendous year for Western Beaver this year. He has very good mechanics and does a nice job knowing where he wants to go with the ball before the snap. He has a strong arm and shows it off when he throws deep balls. Peel is also a good athlete who can scramble when the play breaks down. Peel does an excellent job of processing what the defense gives him and then always has a plan on where he wants to put the ball. Peel is super talented and I cannot wait to see him play next year.
Highlights
Xavier Higdon Xavier Higdon 6’3″ | 290 lbs | OL North Penn | 2027 State PA has limited film, but is great size standing 6’3 inches tall, and showed he has a lot of potential. He played left guard in the clips I saw and he flashed some good skills. He shows good strength and does a good job at the point of attack blocking defensive players. Higdon is a player who should only get better going forward.
Elijah Sherman Elijah Sherman 5’10” | 170 lbs | ATH Cumberland Valley | 2027 State PA played free safety for Cumberland Valley last year. He played at a very high level for a Freshman getting his 1st varsity snaps. Sherman played really deep for a safety but has the speed to still come up and make plays. Sherman does a good job coming upfield and making tackles. He is adept at making ankle tackles on ball carriers in the open field. Sherman also made several pass breakups with deep passes thrown his way. I expect Sherman to be an even bigger contributor next year for Cumberland Valley.
