Doing these analyses allows me to spotlight a lot of players. There are a lot of young talented prospects and several sleeper prospects that could start getting looks for the next level. Prep Redzone Florida will always promote everybody in hopes of them getting the opportunity of playing college football at the next level.
Carson Hawk- South Walton High c/o 24
6’4 170lbs
Hawk was outstanding this season, he led the Seahawks to a 6-5 record, district championship, and into the State playoffs. Hawks led a talented district this season, in passing with 2456 yards, completing 53%, with 25 touchdowns! He also rushed for 293 yards rushing and 8 touchdowns.
Strengths:
- Flashes accuracy at all 3-levels
- Can make plays on the move or in the pocket
- Plays with a lot of poise
Lakota Johnson- North Bay Haven Academy c/o 25
5’10 176lbs
Johnson really stepped up his game this season, he finished second in the district throwing for 1588 yards, completed 55% of his passes with 14 touchdowns. Johnson also rushed for 743 yards and 8 touchdowns. He also gets it done in the classroom as well with a 3.5 GPA. Johnson will be one of the top returning quarterbacks (Over 2000 All-Purpose yards) in the district in 2024.
Strengths:
- Athletic player that can improvise and scramble out of trouble
- Dual-threat QB that can make big plays with his feet
- Athleticism to play multiple positions
Jason Havens- Rutherford High c/o 25
5’10 150lbs
Havens stepped up this for the Rams; the first-year starter finished third in the district throwing for 1308 yards, completing 52% of his passes with 11 touchdowns. I will be keeping an eye on his progress over the Spring.
Strengths:
- Reliable accuracy on short and intermediate range passes
- Keeps his eyes downfield with rushers bearing down
Zabeyon Morgan- Bay High c/o 26
6’0 160lbs
Morgan is one of the top up-and-coming quarterbacks in the district. He a lot of ability as a sophomore. Morgan finished fourth in the district throwing for 1139 yards, completing 58% of his passes with 12 touchdowns. He also rushed for 116 yards andba touchdown. Morgan will be one of the top returning quarterbacks in the district. Really excited to watch his progress over the Spring.
Strengths:
- Has a natural feel for pressure and can quickly slide out of trouble
- Outstanding deep ball thrower
- Athleticism
