[player_tooltip player_id='681180' first='Xavier' last='Griffin'] – EDGE – Gainesville

A dominant 6A pass-rusher from powerhouse Gainesville, Griffin is a playmaking defender at 6-foot-4 215-pounds, Griffin can beat opposing tackles with both speed and power off the edge. He already has a long, D1-caliber frame and showed that he's lightning quick off the snap. Not only is he one of the top pass-rushers in 6A, but he's quickly becoming one of the very best across the 2026 class. He showed a great motor last year with the ability to fight off blocks and attack the quarterback. His size, motor, and natural ability to get into the backfield makes him a nightmare for opposing quarterbacks. He's coming off a breakout sophomore season where he made 52 tackles, 20 TFLs and nine sacks. His stock is on the rise and he will only get better and better through the off-season. Look for him to have a giant junior season next fall as he attempts to lead the Red Elephants to a big 6A state championship.

A big-time pass-rusher and overall defender Carter has quickly become one of the top EDGE defenders not only in Georgia, but across the South in the 2026. The 6-foot-4 235-pounder has easy D1-caliber size and has seen plenty of major offers come his way over the last 12 months. He's a quick but powerful defender with an outstanding motor who is coming off a dominant sophomore season where he made 84 tackles, 13 TFLs and 15 sacks. He lived in the backfield last season and made at least one sack in 11 games. Carter is ranked in the latest update as the No. 4 DL prospect and the No. 21 overall prospect in the 2026 class. If he continues to progress and develop more as an overall defender, he could see his ranking continue to rise more and more over time. He's without a doubt one of the top 2026 pass-rushers to know for the 2024 season.

[player_tooltip player_id='675043' first='Camron' last='Brooks'] – Thomas County Central

If you're talking about major pass rushers in South Georgia, [player_tooltip player_id='675043' first='Camron' last='Brooks'] has to come towards the top of the list. Helping lead Thomas County Central to a big 6A state title last fall, Brooks showed his dominance on a weekly basis and consistently found his way into the backfield. At 6-foot-4 225-pounds, Brooks is an impressive young defender who can naturally shed blocks and attack the ball-carrier. Ranked as the No. 3 DL prospect and the eNo. 9 overall prospect in the state, Brooks is an outstanding prospect who will only get bigger and stronger over the next two years. He holds major offers already for a reason and is coming off a tremendous sophomore season where he made 8.5 sacks and 12 TFLs. His lengthy frame and quickness off the snap is easy to notice, and it's a reason why he's one of the very top 2026 defenders and overall pass-rushers in Georgia.
