In this post, we’re putting the spotlight on five players who were the five fastest campers in attendance. Part of the camp was the 40-yard dash and these five campers had the five fastest times recorded on Sunday.
Isaiah Taylor
2028 quarterback Isaiah Taylor was moving on Sunday morning and afternoon in Fort Worth. Taylor zoomed down the 40-yard dash with a time of 4.69 and was consistent with his second time at 4.72 seconds. Taylor was moving on Sunday and there’s no doubt that he impressed when he showcased that athleticism. Taylor would carry that momentum into the rest of the camp and we’re looking forward to seeing what’s next for this standout.
Jeremiah Taylor
Jeremiah Taylor is the twin brother of Isaiah and for now, Jeremiah has bragging rights on his brother. Taylor ran a faster 40-yard dash on Sunday and tied another camper for the best time at the camp overall. Jeremiah ran a 4.59 time and followed that up with a run of 4.69. After a little research, you see that Jeremiah is also a standout on the track as a sprinter and it makes sense. He showcased that speed in the testing portion of the camp.
Josiah Dickerson Josiah Dickerson 5'6" | 155 lbs | RB OK
While the majority of campers in attendance were from Texas, 2028 running back Josiah Dickerson Josiah Dickerson 5'6" | 155 lbs | RB OK came down from Oklahoma and dominated. He walked away with MVP honors for the running back position and tied Taylor for the fastest time at 4.59. That was a personal record for Dickerson and he also ran a 4.61 on his second attempt. If you combine the two times of all the campers, Dickerson had the best cumulative time of any camper.
Matthew Scott
2028 wide receiver Matthew Scott has speed for days and that was on display throughout the camp on Sunday. Scott grabbed our attention by running a time of 4.62 on one of his attempts and also had a 4.72. Scott’s time of 4.62 was incredibly close to being the best time of the camp. Scott then moved on to the other drills and performed well before being one of the better wide receivers on Sunday and that was arguably the best position group.
Trenton Jones Trenton Jones 5'10" | 180 lbs | WR TX
Our final camp standout in the 40-yard dash was 2028 wide receiver Trenton Jones Trenton Jones 5'10" | 180 lbs | WR TX and he dominated the testing portion of the camp overall. Later on, we’ll have posts on some of the other drills and get ready to see Jones mentioned a lot. In this drill, Jones ran a 4.66 and also had a 4.81. When you combine all four drills, Jones was without a doubt one of the top performers on Sunday. He performed very well in the competitions as well.
