Continue ReadingTop ranked offensive linemen is back rolling in his recruiting journey. Last offseason he landed 7 D1 offers including Penn state, Michigan State and Maryland. We are early into the offseason and the University of Pittsburg has been the first school to come calling for Maddox. Maddox just released his sophomore film on the 1st and he’s clearly already one of the most dominant linemen in his class, he put together at least 3 minutes of pancake block after pancake block. Expect his recruiting this offseason to be a lot like the last one, and for his recruiting stock to increase a notch. He just may be able to start getting some national attention.
Just yesterday the #1 QB in the state released his top 6 schools and it includes some DMV programs as well as some national powers. His final 6 are UMD, Penn State, Virginia Tech, Syracuse, Oregon, and Texas A&M. The QB situation at these schools are unique, in college park, Tagovailoa has entered the transfer portal, while both backups were used in UMD’s bowl win. Oregon just had #1 2024 QB Michael Van Buren Michael Van Buren 5’11” | 180 lbs | QB St. Frances | 2024 State MD flip to Mississippi State after Dillon Gabriel transferred from Oklahoma. Syracuse has a new staff and Ohio State transfer Kyle McCord, who will be in his last year in 2024-25 season. With all the moving pieces in college football today we’ll all just have to go along for the ride and see where Washingtons recruiting goes by next off season. Be on the lookout for more power 5 programs to take notice during his senior campaign.
After a transferring for his senior season Redd was used in a system that complimented his skillset and allowed him to produce some big plays for the Millers during their dominant playoff run. He put his quick footwork and elusiveness display in the screen game and on special teams as a return specialist. His suddenness gave him some opportunities to get int the endzone and show what a weapon he can be. He just landed his first D2 offer from Shippensburg University; from evaluating this kid in person I can predict that this won’t be the last offer he lands before the spring.
Already Coombs has landed 3 new offers this offseason, and we should have seen it coming after having an All-WCAC season. I want to highlight the burst and breakaway speed Coombs put on display this season, he’s looking to be a lethal threat in his senior season. Coombs landed Texas A&M, Syracuse, and ECU, there’s no doubt that a few more power 5 schools will come knocking before we know it.
Top-rated DB Humes decided to speed up his road to the collegiate level and reclassified to this 2024 class. Shortly after, he landed offers from USC, and Florida who both made his top 6 list on New Year’s Day. The other 4 programs are Penn State, Notre Dame, Maryland, and Syracuse. He’s set to take recruiting visits to each of these schools over the next month, remember, signing day is right around the corner on February 7th.
Tye’shawn landed 3 offers just last month from the University of Charleston, Loch Haven University, and Edinboro University on Wednesday. This past season Cox showed just how lethal his speed can be, he was a deep ball threat and put his ball carrying skills on display in the run game. We still have a few weeks until signing day so look for few more programs to take a look at Tyeshawn’s body of work over the past two seasons.
