Alex Long checks off boxes before even taking a look at his tape. So long as his measurables are verified, putting up the production line he posted this Fall, at his current size, should draw attention of important people recruiting the area. First rep on tape, Long gives you an idea of how special his hand-eye coordination and concentration skills are, reeling in a one-handed catch while being draped by a defender. Works out of a ton of five-wide sets, Camp Hill has no problem sending Long throughout all three-levels of the field. Multiple reps on tape skying and high-pointing balls, clear candidate for goal-line sets. Turns 50-50 balls into 75-25 in his favor. Tape shows him working his stride to get downfield, Long isn’t a blazer or a YAC guy, but he can get downfield and track footballs well, would call it his calling card. Such calling card, matched with his H/W combination makes him a clear candidate for TE looks at the next level. Long places three spots outside of our top 250, reps away from his wideout spot would have him jump several spots. Great wideout, with great grades and production.

First realized this young man’s potential at a camp last Summer held out near the Pittsburgh area. Self-reports some impressive combine/track numbers, if verified would likely climb up our boards a bit. 11.2 100M is verified, said speed in shorts and tee show up on tape, with Mugerwa being seen running stride for stride with some good athletes across the LOS. Is a WR-capable athlete, but a ton of production and quality reps come with Mugerwa stationed at outside-lane corner. Is Richland’s number one option at DB. Ton of tape with Mugerwa’s backside to the sideline, eyes in the backfield, off the ball 6-8 yards pre-snap. QBs tested Mugerwa deep, poorly thrown balls against alignment like this asks for interceptions and PBUs to be had, Mugerwa secured three this past Fall. Despite many bashing butt-to-the-sideline technique at this level, having Mugerwa run with kids off an outside release, while having the juniors eyes and feet ready for inside breaks, is an alignment I’m fine with. I’ve had the chance to see him work up close, working out of a standard stance. Takes an inside route when attacking off-tackle runs headed his way, a young man who can be counted on to kiss the football and help out in support of the run.

Good amount of league/conference accolades to his name. Penncrest’s Ben Kauffman’s build is an obvious translation to the defensive side of the football, I make this clear early in this piece as Penncrest often has Kauffman working along the offensive line, a choice that makes a ton of sense even if he didn’t play out of position out of necessity. First thing that stands out on tape is the young man’s pursuit skills and closing speed. Once Kauffman reads the handoff angle, once he sniffs the backfield and gets off his block, his closing speed to the ball carrier flashes. Kauffman works out of a three-down lineman set, often stationing anywhere between the tackles outside shoulder in a traditional DE alignment, or head-up on guards if PC calls to shift their front. A pressure/penetrator type. Doesn’t always come away with TFLs and sacks but his presence sure is felt. Likes to swat hands out of his way, powerful shoulders and forearms help him clear punches from OL. Carries a slim build, often a bit too much when working inside of bigger tackles. Bit of a tweener, not ready to name him a great rusher off the edge, but I like the fact he’s putting tape out there deployed at multiple alignments and positions, great for his stock with potential coaches at the next level.

Ranks a couple spots higher than Kauffman on the DL list. In a similar boat as the Penncrest junior is Exeter Townships, Logan Wegman Logan Wegman 6’5″ | 260 lbs | DL Exeter Township | 2025 State PA , who too provides his program with quality offensive line reps. That being said, despite Wegman carrying around 260 pounds, I like Wegman’s tape on defense. First off, there isn’t much to go off of in terms of quantity of OL reps. Definitely quality, yet just a minute or so of tackle-worthy tape isn’t enough to justify a rank at that position. Much more tape aligned head-up on tackles, or shading outside. Exeter varies their line fronts, sometimes having three-man fronts, the next having four. Tough for me to gauge from my perspective still a big edge-setter and effector in run support. Great grades, can snap the football, participates in T&F. Is a tackle body aligned against other tackles, so you can’t expect great speed, burst, or twitchiness off the snap, pad-level is high too. His overt power is what sticks out, reps where this young man is tossing kids aside at will. Powerful leg drive equates to a ton of displacement when at DE. Every limb attached to Wegman works toward bringing down the ball carrier, heavy puncher/hitter. Probably a project at the next level, a good one, one that will be molded to a coach’s liking.

Ranked as top 40 DL. Probably the purest on this list so far, with Kauffman and Wegman being projects on both sides of the ball. Love the leverage he works with out of his stance, good fire off the snap, good pad-level, doesn’t stand up immediately. First couple of reps on tape showcase Miller’s ability to quickly read the flow of the offense and knife between B-gaps pops on screen. Numerous reps with Miller blasting tackles and guards off-balance with his initial push upfield. Has some reps later on tape with his hand off the dirt, boasts a nasty dip move while rushing the passer. Top 200 as a debut on this list is impressive, likely a real pass-rushing prospect on PSAC boards already, at least ones on the West side of PA digging into 2025s. Good pursuer of the football after shedding, such a natural feel for the position, Miller often finds himself in the lap of ball carriers without even seeking said BC out yet. Seven sacks, 100+ tackles, great year out of the Sharon junior.

Ranked as a top 50 two-way player in the state, reeled in 900+ yards of receiving yards, 130 more on the ground all while scoring 13 times for Beaver HS. This production alone would likely have him ranked somewhere inside the top 300, yet tacking on his reps on defense and you’ve got as complete a two-way prospect as you’ll find out of this junior class. Ideal build, arms long enough to scratch his knees standing upright, fantastic strider out of his release, Amari Jackson Amari Jackson 6’0″ | 160 lbs | ATH Beaver | 2025 State PA looks like a legitimate 6’1, 175. His rep at the: 39-second mark shows off the second gear he has in him. A slant against off coverage, Jackson is witnessed eating up space in a hurry, accelerating enough to take his matchup out of the play entirely. Seen taking slants and LOS pop screens the distance, both with some open field wiggle, along with the aforementioned speed, a threat to score from anywhere on the field. Such a playmaker with the ball in his hands, so much so that Beaver has no problem calling direct snaps for the young man. Don’t get me wrong, the touchdowns are great and Jackson is a legitimate WR prospect, yet I can’t help but be enamored by his skillset at corner. Coached up well, balanced post-snap when playing up on the LOS. Can mirror WRs who like to get cute off the release, seen using his inside hand to thwart or re-route kids. There is too much to like out of this young man, I could easily see him climb into the top 100 in the future.
