Continue ReadingOn MLK Monday National Preps held its annual Senior Winter Showcase with dozens of college coaches in attendance to see Sr. prospects still available and an early look at some 2025 prospects. Featuring verified HT/WT measurements with position drills and 1v1’s run by some of the areas best HS coaches, the stage was set for these prospects to show out. In this piece I am talking about some of the top 2024 offensive performers I saw on the day. Guys that showed they may still be unsigned but need to be on the boards for colleges still finalizing their 2024 class.

Aiden O’Connell
Aiden O’Connell
A WR with good height measuring at 6’3″ and long arms. Aiden surprised with how fluid and agile he was during the camp. Showed the ability to quickly change direction with shifty, fluid hips during the L-Drill and in his 1v1 routes. Is a smooth route runner, can push vertical and stem his routes, comes back for the ball and has strong hands. Thought Aiden had a great showing at the event and has a lot of potential at the next level.

Sean Collins
Sean Collins
A thick build muscled up RB, Sean showed nice twitch and explosiveness during the camp. He has smooth hips and fluid quick choppy feet. Has a nice jump cut and ability to burst through the hole and in-out of breaks. Is also a good threat as a pass catcher out of the backfield. Ran crisp routes, can stick his foot in the ground and make a strong cut while showing great hands. Overall Sean is a powerful and explosive RB who can be effective in both the run and pass game for an offense and showed off his skill set well at the showcase.

Souleye Diawara
Souleye is a big big dude, measuring in at 6’8 1/2″ and 369lbs at the showcase. A former basketball kid, this past season was his first year playing football, so while new to the game he has a ton of potential. He can bend, sink and give a good punch. Moves well, can run and get his feet going while showing a nice kick step. Fires off the snap and plays with good energy. Souleye was dominant in 1v1’s during the day, stonewalling defenders and pushing kids around with his strength. For a player still new to the game, he has a high ceiling as he continues to improve technique, re-shape the body/get stronger. Recently committing to Shaw U, Souleye is a player destined to make an impact at the college level as he develops.

Travante Privott
Travante Privott
Travante has a great showing at the NP Winter Showcase and may have been the surprise of the day on the OL. Played a lot of OT/OG this past year at Oxon Hill but worked out at Center during the 1v1’s and that will be his position of play at the next level. He had the OL coaches working the camp raving about him. Travante has a great first punch, getting into the defenders chest and stopping them in their tracks. Can re-set his hands and shows good mobility and will drive the defenders down the line. His height does hurt him some, but he plays bigger and if he was a 6’2+ kid he would be a D1 offer kid with his skill set.
