Jy'Zavion (Jy) Garmon - Upson Lee

A slippery, speedy young back out of Middle Georgia, this Thomaston native was one of the top freshmen running back in the area last fall. He can make defenders miss in the open space and get upfield in a hurry. He picks up quick yards, and while he may be on the smaller side, Garmon plays bigger than his size. He runs hard, runs with balance, and does a good job of staying on his feet. Even as a first-year freshman, this promising back made a big impact and showed he can run against some talented, older defenders. He showed big play ability and will only get better as he continues to add more muscle over time. He's agile, can stop on a dime, and can be tough to coral for bigger defenders down the field. He's without a doubt one of the top 2027 backs not only in Middle Georgia, but across the 2027 class for the upcoming season.

[player_tooltip player_id='1096397' first='Jake' last='Godfree'] - North Gwinnett

One of the top young linebackers in Gwinnett County, Godfree is a physically put together freshman with a promising 6-foot-0 200-pound frame. He runs, he hits, and he was one of the more productive 2027 linebackers across the state last year. He shows good instincts and toughness for his age, and he did it in the 7A class. Against talented offenses, Godfree showed he can play at a high level on a weekly basis. He plays the game like upperclassmen and nows how to make a big tackle. He hits behind his pads and plays the game well from a physical standpoint. He's coming off a big 2023 season where he made 78 tackles, seven TFLs and three sacks. He's a max-effort guy who gives it all every play he's out there. Look for him to take on an even bigger role with the potential to have a gigantic sophomore season next year. If he does, look for some D1 interest and possible offers to possibly come his way.

An impressive young defender from Atlanta, Irvin is a strong defender for his age who knows how to deliver a big hit. He's tough for his age and brings good speed and pursuit to the table. He also brings a promising frame at 6-foot-0 190-pounds. He brings a physical element against the run but knows how to attack and strike the quarterback on the blitz. On the season, he made 70 tackles, five TFLs and five sacks. He's great in pursuit and knows how to sniff out runs on the edge. His best football is way ahead of him, so if he continues to impress and progress, Irvin is a 207 linebacker who could see his recruitment really pick up down the line. Look for him to have a possible breakout sophomore season in 2025.
