Although his conference houses eight teams, all prospects in this article are from either Almont, Armada, or North Branch, who all finished in the top half of the conference last year.
’26 DB/RB | Matthew Bacholzky Matthew Bacholzky 5'9" | 160 lbs | DB Almont | 2026 MI | Almont | Hudl
You can tell from the film that Matthew is a gritty player. He’s a key piece on both sides of the football for a very successful team. As a running back, he does a great job at keeping his legs moving through tackles. He explodes through the hole and works to run north-south toward the endzone. As a defensive back, he plays similarly gritty football. I don’t think he’s the greatest athlete, but his reaction time and effort once the ball is thrown or handed off is excellent. If Matthew can prove himself this offseason and carry that into next season, he could be a good college prospect.
’26 LB | Cohen Ferqueron Cohen Ferqueron 6'1" | 200 lbs | LB Almont | 2026 MI | Almont | Hudl
I love Cohen’s potential as an off-ball linebacker. If he can stay in the weight room and work on his agility, he could be an excellent prospect. He already has the reaction time and aggression needed to play the position at a high level. There are several moments in the film where he very quickly diagnoses a run and fills the hole perfectly, earning a TFL. In other moments, Cohen shows great sideline-to-sideline efforts. There aren’t many pass coverage reps, but he’s had a few good reps there. He’s still a raw prospect though all he needs is a great offseason to really put himself on the map next season.
’25 QB | Lucas Pratt | Armada | Hudl
Lucas is a highly efficient quarterback. Playing for Armada, the passing game isn’t necessarily at the forefront of the offense. Though, Lucas shows flashes of very good play action and off-platform throwing ability. His arm talent isn’t incredible, but he’s able to push the ball downfield where he can give his receiver a chance. His 6’4″ height also gives me some optimism for his ceiling.
’25 TE | Drew Keding Drew Keding 6'2" | 200 lbs | TE Armada | 2025 State MI | Armada | Hudl
Drew is a good old-fashioned blocking tight end. There are several pass reception highlights, and he does a good job at hauling in catches and trying his best to get his YAC yards. However, his best work is through his blocking. He’s aggressive and is oftentimes trusted to make extremely key blocks that pave the way toward an explosive play.
’25 DE | Phillip Hernandez | Armada | Hudl
I really love Phillips’s potential. His current film shows that he’s still a raw prospect, but his 6’3″ height, long-looking arms, IQ, and effort excite me for what he could develop into. Phillip is quick off the ball and is able to blow past some opposing linemen. Other times, he does a good job at quickly shedding a block and making a play in the backfield. He also sets a good edge and secures his tackles well. Overall, some solid defensive end play. Like I said- I love the potential. If he works on his craft this offseason and comes into next season faster and stronger, colleges could come calling.
’25 DT/OL | AJ McIntyre | Armada | Hudl
AJ is a tenacious, gritty player. He’s a dense, explosive interior defensive lineman who delivers a great pop off the line and does well to drive the offensive line backward. He holds great leverage and is able to get low enough to plug up the middle of the offensive line. If he were to play at the next level, he’s be a defensive tackle. AJ has also spent some time at offensive tackle, and he has some great tape there as well. I love how aggressive he is. Truly a mauler on both sides of the ball.
’27 ATH | Michael Spisz Michael Spisz 5'10" | 145 lbs | ATH North Branch | 2027 State MI | North Branch | Hudl
Spisz is going to be a problem in the Blue Water Conference for years to come. He’s way ahead of the curve when it comes to general athleticism. I like his release, speed, and he’s shown flashes of decent vision and fast feet. Offensively, he’s able to make the most of his touches (which he gets a lot of). Defensively, he’s able to make his tackles, react to the run, and overall is a solid defensive player. As long as Michael keeps a consistent year-round effort, he’ll develop into a very good prospect and a rare 4-year Varsity starter.
