There were close to 100 prospects who attended the Prep Redzone Next Midwest Middle School Showcase in Barrington, IL last Saturday. We saw multiple prospects turn heads throughout the camp, as players ranging from grades 5 through 8 made jaw dropping plays. After all was said and done, these rising stars balled out and were picked as best of the best for the PRZ Midwest Middle School Showcase at quarterback.
Wilson took home Quarterback MVP Honors at the PRZ Midwest Middle School Showcase. As we previously wrote about, Wilson impressed with his arm talent, accuracy, and poise. The Class of 2028 stand out from Decatur is soon to be a big name in Illinois high school recruiting over the next 4 years. Keep an eye on this rising star.
Highlights
Woody was another impressive Class of 2028 quarterbacks who turned heads at the PRZ Midwest Middle School Showcase. The 6’0, 197 lbs 8th grade already has the size and the arm strength of a high school quarterback. He dominated in 1-on-1’s, accurately throwing the ball on a variety of routes. As he continues to grows over the next 4 years, the Indiana native is sure to make a name for himself throughout both Indiana and the rest of Midwest.
Highlights
Carter is a 6’3, 161 lbs gunslinger from Huntley, IL. He already boasts an impressive frame and strong arm talent that makes him an intriguing prospect. A Class of 2028 player, Carter stood tall during individual drills and 1-on-1’s at the PRZ Midwest Middle School Showcase with his footwork and anticipation. This rising star will continue to impress throughout his high school career.
Chapman measured in at 5’11, 169 lbs and impressed rep after rep during the PRZ Midwest Middle School Showcase. The Class of 2028 quarterback hails from Wisconsin and attended the PRZ Stock Up Showcase in December as well. An incredibly polished player, Chapman has potential to be a big time quarterback in Wisconsin and in the Midwest over the next several years. Keep an eye on this rising star.
Highlights
Vita was among the best testers at the PRZ Midwest Middle School Showcase, as he ran a 5.32 40 yard dash and a 4.92 short shuttle while measuring in at 6’2, 180 lbs. The Class of 2028 quarterback delivered on-time and accurate balls throughout 1-on-1’s. He earned a best on best selection at the end of the showcase as well. The impressive quarterback out of New Lenox, IL has a bright future ahead.
