Two big leaders in the Wildcats' linebacking corps. Sexton, a Palmetto Champions' Class 5A All-State selection brought athleticism and tenacity to the position. He had tallied over 100 tackles the past two seasons and even saw time at wide receiver. He was also the leading tackler for the South at the Touchstone Energy Cooperatives Bowl. As for Byrd, the three-sport athlete put all of his skills on display each week. Whether being one of the quickest players to a tackle or forcing turnovers with his 4.5 speed, Byrd was a game-changer all-season.
