Lathen has had a very nice prep career for Lewiston, and is a ball-hawking safety with elite instincts in the back end and is an excellent open field tackler. He is rangy and covers a ton of ground and shows a quick trigger in the box and closing speed, while able to cover the entire back end from the middle of the field. He has been very under-recruited but is a no brainer next level kid that that can make a impact on a college roster and is one of the regions best available.
Grizzle is a heavy handed physical inside player that wins with explosive hands/hips, and snaps out of his stance while creating immediate knock-back with some pass rush abilities as well. He is stout against the run, can redirect and flows well to the ball while athletic enough two two-gap and provide an interior pass rush with power and a relentless motor. He had multiple D2 and NAIA offers, but shut down his recruitment and committed to Boise State, which is a very nice local get for the Broncos.
The Montana Tech commit is a true outside linebacker with cover abilities, while also able to set the edge and rush the passer with an explosive first step, natural bend and quick use of hands at the POA with closing speed. A staple of the Post Falls defense for the past few seasons, Craig provides very nice versatility with some upside at the next level due to his size and frame/length.
Highlights
Weeks is another part of this loaded 2024 Idaho linebacker group, and should fit nicely at the next level either inside or outside. The two-star athlete holds one offer from Eastern Oregon, and is a no brainer college caliber prospect at that level. He is a terrific overall athlete that can both bang in the box and cover in space while showing natural instincts when sniffing out plays and plays with a high motor at all times. Weeks is a name to watch for as we near the second and final NSD.
