Continue ReadingEthen Knox Ethen Knox 6’1″ | 190 lbs | RB Oil City | 2024 State PA had a special season for Oil City. He rushed for 2,340 yards and had 34 rushing touchdowns. He is a different type of running back because he is so tall. He stands 6 feet 1 inches tall, but he has elite traits as a running back. He has legit speed and when he gets into the open field he just glides by defenders. He is really good in the different types of run games that Oil City ran. He is especially good at toss plays on the perimeter and other outside runs. Knox is a talented player and he should find a home for a College Football team.
Jaquon Reynolds Jaquon Reynolds 5’7″ | 170 lbs | RB Gateway | 2024 State PA is a legit playmaker at running back. He is a threat to score a touchdown every time he touches the ball. He might have a small frame, but makes up for it with his athletic ability. One of his best traits is his receiving ability. He catches the ball very well out of the backfield. He could develop into a slot receiver in college. Reynolds does have a physical style at running back and will punish defenders trying to tackle him one-on-one. He is also an elusive running back. I can see Reynolds playing college football at the Division 2 level.
Mekhi Ashby Mekhi Ashby 5’10” | 170 lbs | RB Dieruff | 2024 State PA is a homerun hitter every time he touches the ball. On the 1st play from his hudl film, he took a pitch from the 1-yard line and raced 99 yards for a touchdown. That’s the type of ability he shows. When Ashby gets into the open field he races past defenders because he has elite speed. He also shows a physical running style, takes on defenders’ contact, and runs through them. Ashby is a talented running back.
Amir Key Amir Key 5’8″ | 185 lbs | RB Penn Hills | 2024 State PA is a physical tough running back that uses that physicality to be difficult to tackle. He is very good at running inside for hard yards. He shows an ability to break tackles and make people miss. Key also shows breakaway speed, especially when he gets into the open field. Key is another talent that should get some College Football looks.
Ethan Pillar is a classic north-south running back who excels at hitting the hole and being physical at the point of attack against defenders. He has a wicked stiff arm and uses it well to pack a physical punch to defenders trying to tackle him. He doesn’t have the greatest speed, but if the defense gives him a seam he can hit it for a big play. He shows good elusiveness and cuts in the hole. That along with with physical rushing style enables him to be a good running back. Pillar recently picked up an offer from Hampden-Sydney a Division 3 program in Virginia. I expect more Division 3 offers to come going forward.

Elijah Cunningham Elijah Cunningham 5’10” | 200 lbs | RB Lancaster Catholic | 2024 State PA is a legit running back who should have a good chance at playing College Football in the future. Cunningham has a physical running style that is hard to bring down. He was Lancaster Catholic’s bell cow this year at running back and he never slowed down. He also had good speed and if he gets an opening he can take it to the house. Cunningham recently has picked up an offer from Lock Haven and I expect more Division 2 offers to come his way as well.

Colin Brady Colin Brady 6’2″ | 200 lbs | RB West Greene | 2024 State PA is another good running back in the 2024 class. He is a very physical runner who just plows over defenders when they try to tackle him. He is taller than most running backs standing 6’2 inches tall. In a lot of ways, he plays bully ball at running back by running through and around defenders. Brady also shows good hands out of the backfield. He also shows good speed and he runs by defenders in the open field. Brady has had some Division 2 offers including Clarion University.
Salvatore Capria Salvatore Capria 5’7″ | 180 lbs | RB Jim Thorpe | 2024 State PA is a home run threat every time he touches the ball. I saw him score by 3 different ways on touchdowns. The 1st way is kickoff returns. Capria has elite speed and shows it off on kickoff returns. He also scored on several long touchdown runs. Then finally he caught a jet sweep for a long touchdown run. Capria has legit speed and elusiveness and shows it off in his films constantly. Capria has visited Syracuse several times, but he looks like he probably play more than likely at the Division 2 level of College Football.
