Luke Nickel Luke Nickel 6'2" | 195 lbs | QB Milton | 2025 State GA – Milton
Without a doubt one of the very best quarterbacks across Georgia, Nickel is an incredibly accurate quarterback with a live arm who just led Milton to the 7A state title this past fall as a junior. A future Miami Hurricane, Nickel will be back leading the Milton Eagles again in 2024 as they attempt to make another state title run. With Nickel at the helm, the Eagles will be one of the clear favorites once again in 7A. As a junior this past fall, playing against some quality defenses on a regular basis, Nickel lit up the stat sheet as he threw for 3,914 yards and 39 touchdowns with just five INTs. He was outstanding in the playoffs, making the correct reads and consistently putting his playmakers in a position to make big plays down the field. He shows great footwork, a high football IQ, and a strong competitive drive. He’s a leader, a winner, and the top returning 7A quarterback next season. As good as he already is, look for Nickel to be even better next season as a senior, looking to rewrite the history books for one of the biggest and best programs across Georgia.
Julian Lewis Julian Lewis 6'2" | 175 lbs | QB Carrollton | 2025 GA – Carrollton
Arguably the top overall prospect across the country in the 2026 class, Lewis is an incredibly gifted quarterback with elite arm talent. He had a historic freshman season in 2022, and as a sophomore in 2023, Lewis continued to grow his legacy as he threw for 3,100 yards and 48 touchdowns with just two INTs. At 6-foot-1 185-pounds, the sensational sophomore was named the 2023 MaxPreps National Sophomore High School Football Player of the Year Award. He’s fundamentally sound, shows great footwork in the pocket, can throw on the run, and sling the ball into some tight windows down the field. He plays smart, he’s safe with the football, and shows pin-point accuracy all over the field. He throws a beautiful deep ball but knows how to throw a rope when he needs too. The hype surrounding him is real, and he’s already verbally committed to play at Southern Cal at the next level. For now, he still has two more years left at the high school level, and if he continues his dominant play, as most expect, he’ll leave Carrollton, and the state of Georgia, with several career passing records. He’s a special prospect and will be one of the top returning quarterbacks not only in 7A next year, but across the entire country.
Tyler Niehr – North Paulding
One of the more underrated quarterbacks in Georgia, Niehr is a big-armed quarterback in 7A who is coming off a big sophomore season where he threw for 2,734 yards and 24 touchdowns. He did have some trouble with INTs, but that’s to be expected as a sophomore playing against big-time 7A defenses on a weekly basis. What’s clear is that he has excellent arm talent and knows how to push the ball down the field. He stands firm in the pocket and can deliver a nice, catchable ball down the field. He shows impressive ball placement and can make a number of different throws all over the field. Just a sophomore, Niehr has a chance to have a giant junior season next year if he continues to progress as a passer and adds more muscle on his frame this offseason. His best football is still way ahead of him and that’s great news for the North Paulding staff. Look for this up and coming quarterback to have a possible breakout junior season next fall.
