Let’s break it down…
David Jacobs David Jacobs 6'4" | 195 lbs | DL Blessed Trinity Catholic | 2027 State GA Jr. – Blessed Trinity
An elite young defender with outstanding size and potential for his age at 6-foot-5 210-pounds, Jacobs Jr. is a dynamic prospect out of Blessed Trinity who comes in as the No. 1 DL prospect and No. 1 overall prospect in the peach-state for the 2027 class. He has 5-star potential, and terrific bloodlines as his father once played for the Georgia Bulldogs. The younger Jacobs is big, powerful, and runs extremely well for his size. He knows how to deliver a giant hit on the ball-carrier and can hold his own physically with anyone in the area. As a freshman, that’s incredibly impressive. The Roswell native made a big impact for the Titans this fall in year one, making 74 tackles and 12 TFLs and four sacks. He’s also blocked one punt and forced one fumble. He’s strong, active, and plays at a high level already. He’s easy to notice, and he could see his recruitment really take off over the next several months and into his sophomore season in 2024.
LaDamion Guyton LaDamion Guyton 6'3" | 215 lbs | DL Savannah Christian Preparatory | 2027 State GA – Savannah Christian
A dynamic young prospect who is a;ready earning SEC offers, Guyton is an impressive-looking edge defender and pass rusher at 6-foot-3 225-pounds. He already looks like a young Power 5 defender and appears to have an incredibly high ceiling and an impact pass rusher due to his length, quickness, and natural ability for his age. As a freshman this season, Guyton made an instant impact, playing more like a seasoned veteran than a first-year player. The talented young defender from Savannah made 73 tackles, 17.5 TFLs, and nine sacks. He also forced two fumbles and recovered two more. The Georgia Bulldogs have already offered, as have the Tennessee Volunteers, with more likely on the way soon. Not only is he one of the top young players in Savannah, but he’s one of the best across the peach state. He’s ranked as both the No. 2 DL prospect and the No. 2 overall prospect in Georgia according to the latest Prep Redzone rankings.
Christian Hunter Christian Hunter 6'1" | 265 lbs | DL Milton | 2027 State GA – Milton
The big freshman defensive lineman had a lot of hype surrounding him coming into the 2023 season, and Hunter lived up to expectations. Playing as a freshman for one of the top overall teams in Georgia, the thick, compact 6-foot-2 250-pounder made 28 tackles 5.5 TFLs, and 5.5 sacks. He plays with good leverage, a high motor, and sheds blocks extremely well for his age. He dominated in middle school and has the potential to do the same next year as a sophomore as he continues to develop and put on more muscle. He’s a force and a lot to handle for opposing linemen. OF course, his best football is still way ahead of him. He flashed easy Power Five potential in year one and is capable of a true breakout season next year. For now, Hunter is ranked as the No. 3 DL prospect and the No. 9 overall prospect in Georgia for the 2027 class according to the latest Prep Redzone rankings.
