Alex not only made the rankings, but ended as the highest debuting player in this update. Alex rode a strong sophomore campaign and a very impressive showing at the Stock Up showcase to a top 20 ranking. Alex ended the season with 23 tackles, 2 TFLs, and 2 interceptions (including a pick-six). While evaluating Uchtman on tape and in person, I really liked how natural he looks at the cornerback position. He’s very smooth in coverage, displaying fluid hips and nice explosiveness coming out of his breaks. Alex also doesn’t shy away from being physical; whether it be hand-fighting with receivers or stepping up to make a tackle on a back, he is always looking to get in on the action. Uchtman has a taller, lengthier frame you like to see in DBs, coming in at 6’1″ and 175 pounds with room to add some bulk to his frame. Alex also got some carries at RB, ending the season with 215 yards and 2 touchdowns on only 35 carries. Lots of two-way upside with a ton of potential on the defensive end! Keep an eye on this guy these next few years!

The next man up in the Badger’s OL/DL factory! Sophomore Charlie Swoboda Charlie Swoboda 6’0″ | 215 lbs | OL Bennington | 2026 State NE started at right guard for the Badgers and was key to their offensive success en route to their third straight state championship. My biggest takeaway from watching Charlie’s tape is his mobility both laterally and with his footwork. He does an excellent job clearing out the second level and positions himself well with his blocks. Swoboda is a dangerous man when he is asked to pull, as he can build quite a head of steam and convert that into an explosive strike. He uses his hands very well and can work his way inside to gain leverage. Consistent pad level. Charlie’s effort and toughness were also very clear on tape, as he constantly battled from snap to whistle and always looked to finish his blocks.

One of the small school prospects who has the potential to make big-time noise! Wilber-Clatonia’s Grant Kuhlmann Grant Kuhlmann 6’6″ | 230 lbs | ATH Wilber-Clatonia | 2026 State NE is a player who passes the eye test immediately with his 6’6″ and 230-pound frame packed with great athleticism and the potential to fill several roles, including defensive end, EDGE rusher, and tight end. He’s a tall, long defender who uses his lengthy frame very well when disengaging from blockers and creating separation at the LOS. Grant is a dominant presence when setting the EDGE, with the ability to shut down run plays to his side. Excellent pursuit— constantly working his way to the ball. Kuhlmann recorded 5 TFLs and 5 sacks, showing his ability to break into the backfield to wreak havoc. On the offensive side, I really like Grant’s blocking ability as an in-line tight end, with a powerful lower body to drive defenders off their spots. There weren’t many receiving opportunities for Kuhlmann, so we’ll have to wait for a camp or showcase to see him in action as a pass-catcher. Great set of tools to be a top prospect!

Seward’s 2026 class is taking shape, with several players already producing for the Bluejays. One member of that ’26 group to watch is WR/ATH Jack Vyhnalek Jack Vyhnalek 6’3″ | 200 lbs | WR Seward | 2026 State NE , who put together a solid sophomore season. The biggest thing that stood out to me when watching Jack’s tape was the physical mindset he plays with, especially from the receiver position. Vyhnalek’s 6’3″ and 200-pound frame allows him to outmuscle defensive backs both when they try to press him at the LOS and when fighting for the ball at the catch point. He displays excellent concentration and strong hands when completing catches through contact. Great athlete who can elevate very well to high point the ball. Vyhnalek also does an excellent job tracking the ball on deep throws. Jack showed that he could create separation with his route-running and could also improvise to find windows for his QB when plays break down. All he needs is one move after the catch to make a defense pay— deceiving burst and breakaway speed. I could see Jack developing into a tight end depending on how his frame fills out; nonetheless, the talent is very clear!
