is a player who passes the eye test immediately with his 6’6″ and 230-pound frame packed with great athleticism and the potential to fill several roles, including defensive end, EDGE rusher, and tight end. He’s a tall, long defender who uses his lengthy frame very well when disengaging from blockers and creating separation at the LOS. Grant is a dominant presence when setting the EDGE, with the ability to shut down run plays to his side. Excellent pursuit— constantly working his way to the ball. Kuhlmann recorded 5 TFLs and 5 sacks, showing his ability to break into the backfield to wreak havoc. On the offensive side, I really like Grant’s blocking ability as an in-line tight end, with a powerful lower body to drive defenders off their spots. There weren’t many receiving opportunities for Kuhlmann, so we’ll have to wait for a camp or showcase to see him in action as a pass-catcher. Great set of tools to be a top prospect!
