We are a little under a week away from the UIL State Championships in Arlington. However, we have plenty of recruiting news to contend with state playoff news making headlines this week. We are going to highlight several prospects making recruiting headlines this week.   [player_tooltip player_id='958140' first='Drew' last='Evers']-Offensive Line-Flower Mound-2026   [player_tooltip player_id='958140' first='Drew' last='Evers'] is an offensive lineman that is not having any trouble attracting the attention of scouts. Evers possess impressive quickness and gets out of the stance quickly. He plays with a chip on his shoulder. Evers has the ability to overpower opposing defensive linemen. Earlier in the week, the talented Flower Mound offensive lineman earned a scholarship offer from the Arkansas Razorbacks. He is a prospect to watch out for as his recruiting continues to explode.   [player_tooltip player_id='1171454' first='Jermaine' last='Bishop Jr.']-Athlete-Willis-2026   [player_tooltip player_id='1171454' first='Jermaine' last='Bishop Jr.'] is a versatile prospect that can play multiple positions on the defensive side of the ball. He has the ability to play both the linebacker and safety spots with impressive consistency. Bishop Jr. has the hands to pick off passes and take them the opposite direction. Earlier in the week, Bishop Jr. earned a scholarship offer from the USC Trojans. He is a prospect to watch out for over the next couple of seasons.   [player_tooltip player_id='254434' first='Tyson' last='Timms']-Tight End-Aledo-2024   [player_tooltip player_id='254434' first='Tyson' last='Timms'] is a prospect that can be split out wide or playing the tight end position and block opposing defensive linemen. Timms has the athleticism to create separation from opposing defenders. He is able to make plays with the football after hauling in the reception. Earlier in the week, Timms picked up a scholarship offer from Texas A&M Kingsville. Timms is a prospect with the potential to do big things at the next level.   [player_tooltip player_id='970086' first='Zachery' last='Turner']-Wide Receiver-Duncanville-2026   Duncanville is loaded with talented prospects each season. Turner is an impressive prospect on both sides of the ball for Duncanville. Looking first at the defensive side of the ball, Turner is a quick defensive end that can explode into the offensive backfield. Meanwhile, he has the ability to line up at the wide receiver position as well. Turner has tremendous athleticism, and he has the potential to be a matchup nightmare on both sides of the ball. Turner earned a scholarship offer from Texas A&M University this week. Keep an eye on him over the next two years.   [player_tooltip player_id='319428' first='Khristian' last='Turner']-Athlete-Melissa-2024   [player_tooltip player_id='319428' first='Khristian' last='Turner'] is a nightmare for opposing offenses to account for on the field. He has the speed to cause plenty of problems in both the running and passing attacks of the opponent. The Melissa prospect has terrorized opposing offenses all season with his ability to make plays on the ball and bring down the ball carrier. This week, Turner earned a scholarship offer from Judson University.
