<p>Class 2A had a handful of running backs reach the 1,000-yard rushing mark, and one of the largest groups in the state of backs to finish between 800 and 1,000 yards.</p>

<p>Here is the fifth report on the top rushers in Kansas. This group played in Class 2A programs and reached the century mark in yards gained on the ground.</p>

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='780500' first='Carter' last='Hajek']</strong>, ATH, 5'11”, 205, Nemaha Central, ‘26</p>

<p>Hajek is a versatile athlete who can play multiple positions. He rushed for 2,431 yards and 43 touchdowns in 13 games played. He scored 43 touchdowns on the Thunder's way to a Class 2A State Championship. Hajek also threw for 962 yards and 10 touchdowns. He had an impressive 62 percent completion percentage during his sophomore campaign. This young man has a high ceiling and a ton of football ahead of him.</p>

<p>Lee rushed for 1,732 yards on 192 carries in nine games played for the Owls. He scored 12 touchdowns on the ground. He recently committed to play football for Friends University. Lee is a guy who could have a quick impact for the Falcons on special teams.</p>

<p>Kraft gained 1,228 yards on 161 carries in 11 games played. He scored 13 times on the ground and added on a receiving touchdown. Kraft is a ground-and-pound type of back and played in a two-tight end run-oriented offense. He missed a couple of games due to injuries or his numbers could have been higher.</p>

<p>The Cubs have a dual-threat quarterback in Ellis. He rushed for 1,212 yards and 14 touchdowns in 11 games played. He also threw 1,668 yards and 19 touchdowns. Ellis is also a solid basketball prospect who can play shutdown defense and score in transition.</p>

<p>The Indian senior rushed for 1,108 yards and 19 touchdowns in nine games played. On the defensive side of the ball, he finished with 50 total tackles including four tackles for loss and two quarterback sacks. Fischer is just a tough player and very physical. He also wrestles for Larned and can long snap.</p>
