<p>The Tigers and Golden Tornado are two of the state's blue-blood programs among smaller, rural public schools with a combined 24 state championships between them — with Haynesville's 17 second only to the 28 for John Curtis — and a similarly physical, run- and defensive-oriented style. And they arrive with plenty of recent head-to-head history to go with all that tradition. </p>
