Be sure to check out fellow Prep Redzone scout Carl Frederick’s article I was featured in last week here covering Running Backs from the class of 2025. Thank you to Carl for the opportunity to join him in this article.
Victor is a DB and WR prospect who has good height and solid size and has very good athletic ability with fluid hips, very good change of direction, and foot quickness. His film shows his competitive toughness in his blocking at WR and his willingness to tackle as a DB. He has good processing in coverage, knowing how to cover in Zone and keeping his head on a swivel to read the QB and WR. He finished 2023 with 29 Rec for 503 yards and 7 TD receptions while adding 2 rushing TDs. On defense, he had 43 TKL, 3 TFL, 4 INT, 9 PBU, and 1 QB Pressure. Expect Victor to be a big part of Flint Hill’s team next year.
Highlights
TJ plays with physicality at the point of attack as one of Cosby’s Cornerbacks. He has good ball skills with good change of direction to hit the WR when the ball reaches him to force an incompletion, and he also displays the ability to make interceptions when given the opportunity. He can play tight man coverage and also play off Zone coverage and come downhill to make a tackle. There’s a lot to like in his game and look for him making plays in his senior season in 2024.
Alex plays with good physical toughness and has a strong anchor and good balance that keeps him on his feet when making contact. He can fill a hole playing LB by utilizing his good strength to take down RBs running downhill without being blown back. You also see this strength show up as a lead blocker and pass blocker when playing Full Back in addition to his special team play on film.
Dorian Vance
Dorian Vance
Dorian was named 2nd Team All-River Ridge District this year as an Offensive Lineman. He is quick off the ball and can make blocks on the first and second level, initiating the block with good pad level and moving his man out of the gap with good leg drive and explosion. He will be back next year and should be a key piece to Salem’s offensive line.
Logan Lopez
Logan Lopez
Logan is a kicking specialist to watch in 2024. He has very good leg strength and accuracy on kickoffs, forcing touchbacks on 76% of his kicks. He has good accuracy and bounce on his punts. He was 100% in PATs this past season while going 6/9 on field goals. He was named 1st Team All-Liberty District kicker, and 2nd Team All-Region kicker, and has already started training this offseason.
