He performed at an all-time high level throughout the year, and his leadership and clutch playmaking ability down the stretch were both crucial for Good Counsel's championship success. Weaver is a pocket passer who goes through progressions very efficiently. With [player_tooltip player_id='249102' first='Dilin' last='Jones'] in the backfield, Weaver thrived in the play action passing game at the high school level which will benefit him immensely at Monmouth next Fall. [player_tooltip player_id='249086' first='Frankie' last='Weaver'] leaves an incredibly impressive legacy behind him at Good Counsel, and he does so after achieving the ultimate prize of WCAC Championship gold!</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Highlights: <a href="https://t.co/cM178Gqyph">https://t.co/cM178Gqyph</a> </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>2025 5'10 175 DB - [player_tooltip player_id='279149' first='Darius' last='Collins'] - Good Counsel</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='279149' first='Darius' last='Collins'] was an integral part of Good Counsel's elite defensive unit, and his presence in the secondary helped secure a shutout victory for the Falcons. Collins is one of the more efficient tackling defensive backs on Good Counsel's roster, racking up more than 20 total tackles so far during his varsity career. He earned second team All-WCAC honors in 2023, making him one of the elite overall DBs in the 2025 class. [player_tooltip player_id='279149' first='Darius' last='Collins'] is most definitely one of the key playmakers for the Good Counsel Falcons heading into 2024, and he must be recruited with the utmost seriousness!</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Highlights: <a href="https://t.co/XTPik7b2rC">https://t.co/XTPik7b2rC</a></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>2025 5'11 180 DB - [player_tooltip player_id='372522' first='Kelvin' last='Winston'] - Gonzaga</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The 4 star recruit and 1st Team All-WCAC defensive back, [player_tooltip player_id='372522' first='Kelvin' last='Winston'], clearly put forth a spectacular season for the Purple Eagles this year. He forced a number of turnovers for his team throughout the year, and it was clear from the start that Winston was poised for a breakout year. Winston currently possesses D1 offers from the best of the best, such as: FSU, Auburn, Penn State, LSU, Ohio State, Oregon, Notre Dame, Florida, Miami, Michigan, Georgia, and more. You'd be hard pressed to find a more elite DB in the nation than [player_tooltip player_id='372522' first='Kelvin' last='Winston'] of Gonzaga.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Highlights: <a href="https://x.com/EdOBrienCFB/status/1722084823802544569?s=20">https://x.com/EdOBrienCFB/status/1722084823802544569?s=20</a></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>2025 6'1 170 WR - [player_tooltip player_id='372393' first='Vincent' last='Ordenes'] - DeMatha</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The DeMatha star receiver, [player_tooltip player_id='372393' first='Vincent' last='Ordenes'], made the play of the game for the Stags in the WCAC Championship, and his web gem play was nearly the game-winning play for his team. Ordenes hauled-in a spectacular catch off of a tipped pass which he nearly took all the way to the end zone for six. The play put the Stags just outside the red zone with a chance to extend the game or potentially win, but in the end DeMatha fell just short of the victory. [player_tooltip player_id='372393' first='Vincent' last='Ordenes'] remains one of the top wide receiver prospects in the DMV's 2025 class. He demonstrated outstanding pass catching ability in 2023, and there's no doubt in my mind that, with more opportunity heading his way, he will have a huge season next Fall.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Highlights: <a href="https://t.co/AWB7eKF3Xd">https://t.co/AWB7eKF3Xd</a></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>2026 5'10 200 RB - [player_tooltip player_id='212257' first='Breyon' last='Williams'] - St. John's</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='212257' first='Breyon' last='Williams'] ran the ball spectacularly well for the St. John's Cadets this year, and he cemented himself as the RB1 of the future for them going forward. Williams was named a 2nd Team All-WCAC running back in light of his elite performance, and he achieved this special feat in only his second year of varsity! [player_tooltip player_id='212257' first='Breyon' last='Williams'] is one of the most dominant athletes in the entire DMV area, and, heading into the 2024 season, he must be viewed as a top two running back in the WCAC.
