Darius is a very good defensive back that does a great job of playing the ball. The Baltimore, MD native transition well with the ability to be fluid in his hips and process information quickly. St. Thomas More (CT) is getting an explosive athlete that plays with a very aggressive and high pace. Darius’ versatility shows up on tape all throughout his highlight. The ability to blitz off the edge, be a lock down corner, play single high safety, aggressively tackle and pursue the ball carrier make him a high level prospect. Already has a handful of FCS offers. Has a good feet in both man and zone from the corner position and is able to use his speed to recover and break on balls. Darius is a good addition to an already talented St. Thomas More team.

Collins is credited with 30 total tackles (22 solo) in eight games this season.

Darius comes to MMA after playing at Good Counsel last season where I was able to see him play live a few times during the fall. He is a versatile CB who can play outside or in the slot and made 2nd Team All-WCAC. Darius currently holds a double digit FBS/FCS offers, and I feel he can be a late Power 4 offer kid with a strong season campaign.

A lockdown twitchy and dynamic CB, Darius has excellent technique and instincts. He has impressive length for his height with a 75″ wingspan, and he knows how to use said length. He shows good ball skills, stays in phase with the WR, and can jump the route to make a play. Collins has real oily hips, able to switch directions quickly with no loss of momentum. He tracks the ball well and knows when to attack it, always getting his hands on the pass for PBUs/INTs. A versatile DB who can play press man / off zone / in the slot, look for Darius to have a big impact for this Milford squad this season.
