On a night where Christ Church put up points in bunches, Hendrix was a major part of the reason why, throwing for 364 yards and four touchdowns on 15-of-18 passing as the Cavaliers blasted St. Joseph’s 53-20 to win the Class A Upper State title.
“ Tucker Hendrix Tucker Hendrix 6'1" | 170 lbs | QB Christ Church | 2025 State SC has grown up tremendously this season,” Christ Church coach Quinn Hatfield said. “If you look at where he was in the first game against Gray Collegiate to where he is now, I’m just really proud of him. He’s a grinder. He’s in here on Sunday afternoons watching film, he’s working, and you saw it tonight paying off on the field.”
Even as the Cavaliers struggled to find their footing in the early going, Hendrix looked good. He found Jude Hall Jude Hall 6'4" | 185 lbs | WR Christ Church | 2026 State SC for 35 yards on Christ Church’s opening drive, flipping the field after the Cavaliers trailed 6-0 and setting up the offensive explosion to come. A 32-yard TD to Hall followed in the first half. Jackson Repp Jackson Repp 5'8" | 160 lbs | WR Christ Church | 2025 State SC caught scores of 19 and 41 yards in the first half, added a 23 yard touchdown in the second half, and caught another 40-yard completion. Matthew Covington had a grab of 41. Hall added a 34-yarder in the second half. Luke Baumhofer hauled in a 23-yarder.
Hendrix’ most crucial completion, though, might’ve come in the first half. Leading just 6-0 and facing a third-and-long, Hendrix found Cooper Hronchek all alone and hit him for a 39-yard gain that set up Repp’s first score.
“It was just a little wheel (route), and I found myself wide open,” Hronchek said.
Three of Hendrix’ completions were for fewer than 10 yards. Seven were for more than 30. Hendrix said the Cavaliers didn’t expect to find chunks of yardage down the field.
“The line was really playing awesome,” Hendrix said. “I had a lot of time. I didn’t have much pressure. I was just putting it out there and letting my receivers make some plays. We liked the way our guys matched up against theirs, we thought that we could get open, and we knew that if I could make good throws, it was going to be a catch. We didn’t think we were going to get big plays, but it ended up working out like that.”
TAKING CHARGE
Hronchek’s big catch was far from his only contribution on the night. Also a defensive standout, he notched a huge sack on the Knights’ next drive to force a punt. He was in on several tackles and turned in a couple of big tackles for loss.
OFFENSIVE EXPLOSION

Hall had 112 receiving yards and a touchdown on four catches, while Repp caught six balls for 138 yards and three scores. Covington had a pair of catches for 52 yards.
