As the high school football regular season concludes, we will look at some 2027 stock riser prospects that deserve recognition in their respective positions and classifications. This week, Prep Redzone Scout Drew Johnson will highlight instrumental freshmen recruits who have consistently produced this season. As noted frequently, Prep Redzone Florida aims to provide adequate coverage of all athletes for college coaches At All Levels and readers to evaluate. Let's get into some of the stats, Hudl films, and recent offers from some of the rising recruits in the state of Florida.

Cash Downey | QB | 2027 | Menendez | @cash_downey08

2023 stats: 113/195 | 1550 yards | 10 TD

When you have a first name like Cash and play the quarterback position, you must be Money behind center! The freshman Cash Downey has lived up to that name, as he's listed in the top 100 for total passing yards, fourth for freshman. He's impressed on film and flashes his ability to remain accurate when leaving the pocket and showing off that vision to find his third or fourth option. Cash throws dimes on downfield throws even when he's being pressured to get mobile. He's had a decent season despite playing some tough competition in his first year under center. Still, plenty of positives were displayed by Downey who still has plenty of time to work on QB mechanics and

David Coleman | DB | 2027 | Bishop Moore | @DavidLColemanJ2

2023 stats: 17 total tackles, 1 INT, 3 PBU

Coleman has been on my 2027 radar list since the off-season period where he flashed his potential upside and good length for his age. He took that momentum and confidence into the season and has blossomed into a true riser with the frame and skill sets to play at the next level. Coleman has good playing speed and feet to stick with receivers in man coverage and isn't afraid to make an open-field tackle. Really good instincts and ball skills with plenty of time to grow into his frame and develop technique.

Jaidan Delaune | QB | 2027 | Riverside | @JayJayQB1

2023 stats: 26/56, 444 yards, 9 TD

Delaune has made the most of his freshman season while sharing reps with junior QB [player_tooltip player_id='1130837' first='Glenn' last='Foreman III']. He's starting to find his groove under center and has been nominated as a top player of the week multiple times. On film, Delaune is an accurate passer from the pocket who flashes decent arm strength and vision. He has decent footwork mechanics where he can drive the ball on short/intermediate routes. He's a riser who will have his opportunity to put his name on the recruiting map.

Jaelyn Powell | RB | 2027 | Bishop Moore | @Jaelynpowell08

2023 stats: 59 rushes, 348 yards, 3 TD

Powell has proved to be an explosive and high-upside running back prospect since entering his freshman season. He's only shown that the hype was real as he leads his team in rushing yards at the varsity level with just six games played. He recently earned a D1 offer from USF because of his standout efforts this season and is already receiving game invites to other P5 programs. He's a must-see kid for colleges looking to establish relationships with young/promising recruits.

Deonte Fielder | ATH | 2027 | Haines City | @DeonteFielder1

2023 stats: 15/33 - 262 yards - 4 TD | 36 rushes, 138 rushing yards, 1 TD

Fielder has stepped up for Haines City this season and has fulfilled multiple roles. He was instrumental in the Hornets' huge District championship upset win over Bartow where he scored one of the games only touchdowns. He's a pure athlete who just gets it done when the balls are in his hands. One of the biggest risers in the Polk County area this season as a freshman.

Landon Wolny | WR/TE | 2027 | FBA | @landonwolny_80

2023 stats: 26 receptions, 371 yards, 5 TD

Wolny is a decent route runner for his size and has flashed sure-hand capabilities when contested. He can likely develop into a true Power 5 recruit with more work put in during the off-season. Really impressive freshman year with lots of upside for Wolny. College coaches should get in early and monitor his progression.
