This is the start of the “Under The Radar” series, highlighting players from across the state and from each class that I believe are flying under the radar. To kick it off, I picked four seniors who should be receiving more looks on the recruiting circuit. Some already have a few offers and are still building their profile while a couple are still looking to break out for their first offer.
Check out these Under the Radar seniors who have yet to announce their commitment.
Monarch’s center Dallas Hamilton Dallas Hamilton 6’2″ | 270 lbs | OL Papillion La Vista | 2024 State NE has continued to prove himself as one of the more technically sound OL in the state. Dallas was a crucial part of an offensive line that helped star RB Prestito rush for over 1,000 yards. Hamilton is a very physical center with a quick burst off the line and someone who can really pack a punch with his initial jab. He’s a smart player with a good understanding on how to win with leverage, whether it be with his pad level or the inside hands battle. Another thing I noticed when watching Dallas is that he is constantly working from snap to whistle and will look to pick up extra defenders when he needs to. Dallas has great short area burst and solid lateral quickness, showing that he can move into the second level very well. Weight room warrior, team leader, and a high football IQ— lots to like about Dallas! He currently holds offers from William Jewell, Northwestern College, Peru State, Northern State, Jamestown, Black Hills, and UNK with several other teams also keeping close tabs on him.

The best way to describe Millard North LB Will Granger Will Granger 6’3″ | 200 lbs | LB Millard North | 2024 State NE ‘s game is modern-day skillset, throwback mindset. Will is a very versatile athlete who, in my eyes, could be a LB, EDGE defender, or S at the next-level. He has good size at 6’3″ and 210 pounds with nice length and could easily continue adding to his frame. Granger reports a 4.57 40-yard time and it is evident in his tape with his range. This mix of size and speed allows him to pick up and stick to tight ends, back, and receivers up in coverage. Will does a great job plugging his gaps and can stop disengage from blockers very well. On offense, I really liked seeing Will’s physicality as a lead blocker. He does a great job using exploding through defenders and has the strength to drive defenders out of lanes. Will holds an offer from Minnesota State-Mankato and has drawn interest from several D1/D2 schools.

Although Aurora’s Treshaun Beed Treshaun Beed 6’1″ | 175 lbs | DB Aurora | 2024 State NE was dealt an injury that shelved him for a few weeks, he still proved to be difference maker when he was on the field. Treshaun is a very athletic DB with ideal size (6’1″ 175) and speed (4.6 40-time) for the next level. Beed looks smooth in his backpedal with quick feet, low hips, and can explode out of his breaks. He doesn’t shy away from being physical and using his hands to contest catches. Surprisingly, Treshaun is still flying under the radar, waiting on his first offer, but is a player who could blow up once the first one comes in.

Looking at it closely, Yutan’s Joe Benjamin Joe Benjamin 5’9″ | 170 lbs | WR Yutan | 2024 State NE might be more suited to be listed as an ATH due to his insane versatility. Benjamin has practically done it all for the Chieftain offense and has been a pivotal player on defense. So far, Joey has rushed for 378 yards, and 2 touchdowns while also hauling in 19 receptions for 431 yards and 6 touchdowns. Joey projects best as a receiver but should be a player that coordinators will have fun finding creative ways to get the ball to him. He’s very good with the ball in his hands and when you can get him in open space, showing great vision and twitch. Benjamin is also a tough player to bring down on first contact, often able to brush off weak arm tackles. Joey has great hands and showed it with several highlight-reel catches whether one-handed or with defenders in his face. Joey also flashed on the defensive side, with 19 tackles and an impressive 4 interceptions (one returned for a touchdown). Add in his the fact that Joey is a threat in the return game and you have a great all-around prospect who can contribute in several ways. Very under-the-radar prospect— don’t sleep!
