To those that weren’t with us during the fall season, each prospect that won the poll setting each week were given an individualized recruiting report so we can spotlight their talents to our college football subscribers we have across the country.
To start of the week, we connected with Maple River 2025 quarterback & defensive end Tee Sylling Tee Sylling 6'3" | 185 lbs | QB Maple Valley | 2025 State ND , who is a big-time rising junior that has significantly risen his stock from our first live evaluation just under five months ago which you will see further how much he has risen our upcoming 2025 rankings debuting in December.
Q: Introduce yourself, let us know what position or positions you play. What are some things college coaches should know about you football-wise and as a person as well, as what you bring to the table at your position?
Tee: My name is Tee Sylling Tee Sylling 6'3" | 185 lbs | QB Maple Valley | 2025 State ND and I’m a junior quarterback and defensive for the Maple River Raiders. which is a co-op with Maple Valley School in Tower City, and Hope-Page School District. What I bring to the table is hard work everyday in and out of season in the classroom, on the field, and in the weight room.
Q: What are your biggest strengths on the field at your position?
Tee: I feel like I am a very mobile QB that can extend plays and because I think like a QB that really helps me in my DE position as well. My arm strength and accuracy have helped me get the ball into pretty tight windows and am able to make plays outside of the pocket and run the ball effectively if needed. Defensively, I feel I can pursue through contact and take good angles to make a play.
Q: What’s your favorite part about the position/positions you play?
Tee: As a quarterback, I like to be a leader and focus on getting the ball to my playmakers. Defensively, I like to make plays anywhere on the field.
Q: Do you plan on playing college football and do you have any schools that are recruiting you currently?
Tee: Yes, I would love the opportunity to play at the next-level. Hopefully that can happen. I have had a a few game day visits at a few NAIA and Division II schools and have had two Division I schools reach out so far.
Q: What’s your “pitch” to college coaches about what you could bring to their program on and off the field?
Tee: I am in the weight room everyday, and love to compete and get better everyday. Wherever I end up, I feel like I will be a great example and ambassador for the university on and off the field.
Q: What is something in your past seasons that your coaches told you to develop on this season and how much work this season have you put into improving on those skillsets?
Tee: My coaches wanted me to become a dual-threat quarterback, and be able to run the ball, so I worked on my speed and explosiveness in the weight room all last summer and into this season. I think it paid off well.
Q: Who is your football mentor? Can be any coach, alumni, family member, etc. anyone that’s had an impact on your football career.
I think it would have to be Tim Tebow. I try to model my play style similar to his along with my work ethic as well. I also do not hide my faith.
Q: What are some things you learned about yourself as a player this season? What are your goals for playoffs and into the offseason?
Tee: I learned that I can make plays when the play call breaks down and I just never give up. We unfortunately missed playoffs by one game this year. That hurt us, and I will try everything possible to get us back there again. Next season has already started in my eyes, and I will be in the weight room a ton more, and at every offseason camp I can be at.

Evaluation: Tee was as hot commodity amongst our North Dakota Big Dogs of the Week this season for Prep Redzone Dakotas, getting nominated multiple weeks for our weekly awards in North Dakota. He has been a stockriser in my eyes since last Springs Prep Redzone Dakotas Showcase in Aberdeen, as he showed the catchy testing numbers that next-level coaches will like to see as a two-way prospect. As a dual-threat quarterback, Tee shows off plenty of versatility with his legs as a QB prospect that is elusive in small spaces and can flip the field with his excellent field vision. He also shows fluid patience with his agility and throwing from the run, shows off the precision you want in a next-level quarterback on intermediate routes. I have really been impressed as well with Tee’s growing touch on his throws since I watched from Aberdeen last Spring deeper into the fall season, as he certainly has grown his poise with his pocket presence as well. That vision skillset pops out defensively too, as Tee provides position flexibility that lays out with notable downhill instincts off the snap. I also am a big fan of how athletic he is with his range defensively, as although he’s a defensive end he runs like a deer and can range out from sideline to sideline. At 6’3 190 pounds, he certainly has the ideal next-level size as well with plenty of growth you can still get out of his frame, as he certainly has some position flexibility as well when it comes to the next level.
