These seniors departed the scene with a resounding bang, ensuring that their contributions did not go unnoticed. Their legacy as dominant forces in the district will undoubtedly be remembered for seasons to come.
Romeo Johnson | Cypress Falls
Operating from his end position, Johnson displayed impressive hand quickness and an unwavering pursuit of the ball. His technique involved getting under pulling linemen, creating chaos in the backfield, and showcasing effective secondary moves to reach the quarterback. Johnson exhibited agility by making himself elusive in tight gaps, consistently finding ways to disrupt plays. With an exceptional work ethic evident in his relentless motor, Johnson’s efforts paid off with remarkable statistics for his senior year, including over 30 tackles, 5 sacks, 3 fumble recoveries, and a touchdown.
Kason Nowak | Bridgeland
“First punch phenom” Nowak showcased an incredibly productive senior season. His initial strike stunned opposing linemen, and he maneuvered after the impact. Nowak’s combination of hand quickness and power translated into an impressive 9 sacks for the year, while his skill in driving blockers back created numerous pressures on the quarterback. Integral to the defensive success this season, Nowak’s presence on the defensive line will undoubtedly be a challenging void to fill.
Lebron Tah | Langham Creek
Tah showcased exceptional proficiency in setting the edge, displaying remarkable agility to track down the line and make stops for minimal gains. His use of a long reach effectively kept blockers at bay, and his strength allowed him to disengage seamlessly. Notably, Tah tackled double teams with the finesse of a seasoned defensive tackle even at his end position, consistently finding ways to break free and contribute impactful plays. With his well-honed skills, Tah possesses the necessary attributes to thrive; all that remains is the opportunity to showcase his capabilities.
Kenaz Hosten | Cypress Falls
Standing at an imposing 6’4″ and weighing 270 pounds, Hosten emerged as a serious presence on the line. His knack for shedding blocks, tracking the ball carrier, and executing tackles set him apart on the field. Impressively, he excelled at precision striking with his hands and demonstrated swift movement down the line. Hosten proved his ability to dominate one-on-one blocks, consistently applying pressure and making a significant impact on the game.

Khan epitomized the term “disruptor” for the Bears’ defense. A player capable of prevailing in nearly any matchup, he excelled at driving offensive linemen back into their quarterbacks. Khan’s sheer strength and power proved overwhelming for many opponents, and he consistently maintained this level of play throughout his entire senior season. A constant force to be reckoned with, opposing teams had to keep an eye on Khan. Regardless of his position on the field, one could expect pressure from his spot. His dominant performance on the line significantly contributed to the defensive success, and as a Washington Huskie commit, Khan lived up to expectations in his final high school year. Undoubtedly, his name will resonate at the next level of play.
Martin Carreon Jr. | Cypress Falls
Carreon Jr. displayed a commanding physical presence at the point of attack, showcasing an impressive combination of finesse and power in his role as a defensive tackle. His quick first step, coupled with exceptional secondary moves, illustrated his versatility and effectiveness in reaching the quarterback and making stops behind the line of scrimmage. Carreon Jr.’s strength was evident in how he consistently pushed centers and guards three yards deep into the backfield, disrupting plays and leaving a significant impact. When he located the ball, he made sure to follow through with determination, demonstrating dominance from the defensive tackle position throughout the entire season.
Cj Anizor | Langham Creek
Anizor used his speed as a powerful asset, effortlessly maneuvering around tackles throughout the past season. His ability to navigate the edge and maintain his rush lane rendered him a formidable and dangerous rusher. Anizor demonstrated an instinct for seizing opportunities by swiftly shooting gaps when presented, and setting the edge effectively, forcing runs back inside. As an active and tenacious lineman, he played with remarkable determination, contributing significantly to the team’s defensive prowess.
Ezekiel Williams | Cypress Springs
