Under Justin Buttermore, this will be Upper Arlington’s second shot at winning a regional title with the first one coming in 2021 (over Pickerington Central) . In the regular season, Bradley topped Upper Arlington 24-22, so this rematch should be a good one. Here are the top 5 prospects to watch out for in this rematch.

Hilliard Bradley quarterback Bradyn Fleharty Bradyn Fleharty 6’3″ | 190 lbs | QB Hilliard Bradley | 2024 State OH is a 2024 prospect that has had a great career. Fleharty is the engine that makes Bradley go on offense, and that will be no different on Friday. Bradley operates in 3 and 4 wide sets giving Fleharty a ton of freedom to operate. Coming in at 6″3′, Fleharty has all the physical tools to succeed at the next level, and his technique is no different. Fleharty has a fluid and quick release that stems from a solid base. Bradley puts a lot on his shoulders in the run game, running a multitude of zone/power read options. The outcome of this game is if Upper Arlington can stop Fleharty.
Ethen Tebbetts

http://www.hudl.com/v/2LW8AFrnOCC Central defensive player of the year Ethan Tebbetts Ethan Tebbetts 6’1″ | 205 lbs | LB Hilliard Bradley | 2024 State OH will make a difference on both sides of the ball. In the OCC, it’s rare to see an athlete dominate both sides of the ball (LB/WR), but Tebbetts can do just that. Bradley runs an odd front, and places Tebbetts both inside and outside of the box. He is able to play both zone and man coverage vs the pass. With his skill level, Bradley will also put him out wide as the #1 WR and take shot plays to him. It is RARE to see a LB get shot plays in the passing game, and Tebbetts does just that. If you are looking for a defensive player that can be a box player, and a player out in space Tebbetts is that guy.

First team All District DB Zach Corna Zach Corna 5’11” | 185 lbs | DB Upper Arlington | 2025 OH will be the defensive back to try and stop Fleharty. The Golden Bears defense utilizes an array of coverages with Corna playing cover 2, 2 read, quarters, and more. Corna is able to play all these coverages and techniques flawlessly. Opposing quarterbacks have struggled throwing successfully on this defense, and it starts with Corna in the backend. Corna is a DB that is very explosive and can play with the hips (which is huge in 2-read coverage), as he is explosive to the ball. Teams have tried double moves on Corna, and have been unsuccessful. Corna is an elite DB and athlete that is only going to get better.

3 star prospect Cal Thrush Cal Thrush 6’4″ | 245 lbs | DL Upper Arlington | 2025 State OH will have something to say about stopping Fleharty and the Bradley offense as well. Coming in at 6″4′ 225, Thrush will be a force against the run. Upper Arlington uses Thrush in a 4 technique (head up on the tackle), in their odd front system. Thursh is able to play horizontally against outside zone runs, and take on pulling guards vs gap. Thrush wrecked Gahanna’s running game in the regional semi-final, and I foresee him doing the same. He has the physical traits to play against any run style, and can also envision him playing in a 2 gap system. Thrush takes on multiple tackles head up in the running game being able to play both B and C gaps. Thrush is only going to fill out going into his senior year, as he will be a top defensive prospect in Central Ohio.
Julian Dandridge

Upper Arlington will have their hands full in the run game with the likes of Dandridge and Tebbetts. Dandridge is 6″4′ 235 who also plays in the 4 technique spot similar to Rush in Bradley’s 3 man front. Dandridge can play as a 2 gap DE that plays head up on a tackle. With a break out junior year, Dandridge has outperformed this year. With his size, college coaches will love to see the phyiscalness he utilizes in this 3 man front.
