Jaxx, the younger brother of Iowa star Cooper DeJean, is already showing the star traits that seem to run in the family as only a freshman. DeJean led all freshman 11-man players in receiving yards (500), receiving touchdowns (7), and interceptions (4). Jaxx's impact didn't end there as he also rushed for 128 yards and 5 touchdowns, recorded 28 tackles, a TFL, and recovered 2 fumbles (returned one for a touchdown). When you throw on Jaxx's tape, he immediately pops on the screen with his big frame at 6'4u0022 and 200 pounds. Once you get past the eye test, you see a great athlete who could project to either side of the ball at the next level. On offense, Jaxx already displays great route-running and the ability to get open. He has strong hands which allow him to make tough receptions through contact. He climbs the ladder very well. On defense, I like DeJean's quick twitch in coverage and how fast he reacts to the ball. Great ball skills— excellent instincts to get his hands up and disrupt the pass. David burst onto the scene as a freshman, helping form a fairly prolific receiving trio for the Tornadoes. David ended his freshman campaign with 31 receptions for 376 yards and 4 receiving touchdowns. What stood out to me about David's game is how versatile and dynamic he is. William is a player that any coordinator would love to have on their offense due to the many ways you can get him the ball. He is very good in open space where he can use his quick twitch and athleticism to torch defenses. He can line up as an outside receiver, inside, in the backfield, and take direct snaps. As a receiver, he is very fluid with his routes and has a great ability to find and sit in the void spots of the defense. He is great after the catch as well, proving to be tough to bring down. William also recorded 17.5 tackles, 3.5 TFLs, and 2 forced fumbles on defense. David does an excellent job diagnosing plays and flowing to the ball. Make sure you're holding the ball tight around David because he WILL look strip the ball. As one of the enforcers on the Titans's DL, McNeal ended the year with 22.5 total tackles, 4.5 TFLs, and a sack. Kyler really flashed as a run-stopping interior defensive lineman. I saw several plays where Kyler's strong anchor allowed him to sit at the line and basically clog up two gaps. McNeal plays with very violent hands and explosive hips which help him disengage from blocks with ease. Great pursuit and effort— Kyler played non-stop from snap to whistle and still made several plays when he wasn't necessarily in a position to do so. The freshman receiver wasted no time making his presence felt among the varsity ranks with 32 receptions, 481 receiving yards, and 7 touchdowns while also contributing 26 tackles and two interceptions on defense. Jayden is not the biggest guy out there, but he is one of the more dynamic players whenever he's on the field. Lloyd has deceiving speed which allows him to slip behind defenses for big gains. He has great hands and maintains concentration through the catch process. Jayden is very twitchy and can make defenders miss in the open field. Solid route runner. On defense, Lloyd is very fluid in coverage, able to shift between assignments with ease. He's quick to break on the ball and is a solid tackler. Oh and he can kick, putting up 52 of 60 XPs and went 1/2 on field goals, sinking a 30-yarder.
