The recruiting trail has started to heat up for several running backs who have had monster seasons. These players have big play potential and have the skill set to play at the next level. We spotlight three players who have seen their offer sheets expand in the month of November as college programs have come knocking on their doors with offers.
Emory has been one the hottest prospects in the state of Texas this week on the recruiting trail. Ashten is coming off of a senior season where he eclipsed the 2,000 yard mark on a Rockwall team the lost in the Regional Semifinals. His stock is trending upward, with offers from Texas A&M Commerce, Abilene Christian, Stephen F. Austin, South Dakota, Eastern Michigan, McNeese State, Southern Illinois, Alabama A&M and Austin Peay all coming in within the last week. Emory has the goods that will make him a factor at the next level and should have no problem finding a college home in 2024.
Highlights
Morris III is coming off of senior campaign where he was named 16-6A District MVP, rushing for 1,329 yards and his career mark of 4,339 yards with-42 touchdowns shows that he is highly productive. A powerful runner, who is elusive, he has the field vision to set up his blocks well and he has the explosive burst to make a house call. Morris III was committed to Army but recently decommitted and picked an offer from SMU. Expect more offers to roll in as we approach the first national signing day in December. Trey has been a double digit offer prospect for some time and he will no doubt find a home.
Dean had a remarkable senior season helping lead Lake Highlands to the playoffs and putting up numbers that caught the attention of college programs. Dean was voted 7-6A District MVP, leading the DFW area with 2,347 yards and 25 touchdowns. An elusive runner, who runs well between the tackles, he is a gamebreaker in the open field showing of excellent short area quickness and he has the speed to make long runs turn into points. Since Lake Highlands ended their season Dean has seen his offer sheet lengthen, with offers from Mary-hardin Baylor East Central University and Washburn each extending offers. Heading into December expect that offer count to continue to rise.
