That said, I have not stopped tracking our top prospects and their college offer or commitment status dating all the way back to August. Below are a handful of noteworthy prospects and their recruiting status updates. Congrats to this group of talented players and their families!
You cannot teach size. Apparently Penn State subscribes to that age-old football adage as they reached into north Jersey to scoop up a future lineman. Out of Ramsey, team captain Logan Bahn Logan Bahn 6’6″ | 295 lbs | OL Ramsey | 2024 State NJ announced that he was happy to get the call from Coach Franklin and committed on the spot to play ball in Happy Valley. With a ton of interest from FCS schools, Bahn committing to Penn State is a huge win for him.

Ithica is getting a good one in Joe Spirra Joe Spirra 6’2″ | 200 lbs | LB Bridgewater Raritan | 2024 State NJ . Spirra, who had a coming out party under hall of fame coach Rick Mantz, took his game to a whole different level under Mantz’s heir DJ Catalano. Under Catalano Spirra showed more versatility from the linebacker position by blitzing and showing that he can play the passing lanes effectively. As more was expected and demanded of Spirra, the more he did.

Perhaps a little late with this one, but Malachi Goodman Malachi Goodman 6’5″ | 315 lbs | OL Paramus Catholic | 2025 State NJ will have his pick of where he wants to continue his education and play football. Things starting snowballing on May 21st (ironically the birthday of my father and the GOAT Christopher Wallace) when Goodman received his first Division I offer from Nebraska. Since then he has been on a roll, picking up offers from the following schools in order: Michigan, Miami, Boston College, UMass, Marshall, East Carolina, Maryland, Virginia Tech, Duke, Penn State, Rutgers, Syracuse, and South Carolina.
Another talent that proves once an offer comes, they keep rolling in. The next big talent out of Group III Hillside, Darren Ikinnagbon Darren Ikinnagbon 6’5″ | 230 lbs | DL Hillside | 2025 State NJ has collected several offers since May when Iowa State was the first school to offer. Since then, Ikinnagbon has made it rain with offers from Kent State, Wake Forest, Cincinnati, Boston College, West Virginia, Miami, Duke, Pitt, Tennessee, and the two-time reigning national champion Georgia. Options are a man’s best friend. It appears that Ikinnagbon as plenty.
Charlie Wingfield Charlie Wingfield 6’5″ | 185 lbs | TE Ramapo | 2025 State NJ is an interesting prospect and certainly a prospect that has come on – in terms of offers – lately. Wingfield’s first offer came in mid-October when UPenn offered the aspiring prospect. From there, more and more schools have show interest to the point they want a commitment. Boston College, Syracuse, and Army have all followed suit in pursuit of Wingfield.
Going into the season we figure the number 1 team in the state’s anchor along the offensive line would end up playing college football somewhere, right? Recruiting picked up for Chris Vigna Chris Vigna 6’5″ | 280 lbs | OL Bergen Catholic | 2025 State NJ once the season got underway. At the end of September, Vinga received an offer from Boston College. Following suit from there, Virginia Tech, Duke, Syracuse, West Virginia, and Cincinnati all proceeded with scholarship offers as well.
