Reaching the third round of the state playoffs is no easy task.

Granted, it's much easier when you have performances like these.

Five players from the CSRA had the type of games where winning is almost always the end result. This week, we're profiling a big receiver, a multi-faceted player who adds a big special teams boost, a quarterback who is having an impact at defensive back, a well-known defensive end doubling as a tight end and a quarterback who is riding one heck of a wave.

[player_tooltip player_id='771039' first='Demarius' last='Tolen'] WR, Strom Thurmond - Tolen has had some big games this year, and Friday's 53-20 win over Keenan was another one. The big senior caught five of quarterback Quan Edmond's 12 completions. Tolen turned them into a game-high 108 yards and a pair of touchdowns. Those were his sixth and seventh touchdown receptions of the season.

[player_tooltip player_id='315319' first='Tamari' last='Daniels'] ATH, Blackville-Hilda - Daniels didn't get a lot of touches in the 28-0 win over Wagener-Salley, thanks to the War Eagles' draining a ton of time with its run-based offense. So Daniels made a punt return count. He fielded a second-quarter punt at his own 16, got up the sideline and them made a move to cut across the field and split the punt coverage team. Eighty-four yards later, Daniels was crossing the goal line in straight sprinter fashion.

[player_tooltip player_id='315098' first='Mickenzie' last='Atterberry'] QB/DB, Silver Bluff - Atterberry (pictured) had arguably his most influential game in a Silver Bluff jersey at just the right time. In the second-round win against Fairfield Central, he chipped in four tackles, two pass break-ups and an interception on defense and added to the offensive cause by rushing seven times for 52 yards and a touchdown in which he outran a Fairfield defender in the open field (first highlight).

[player_tooltip player_id='139299' first='Jordan' last='Boyd'] DE/TE, Silver Bluff - The Georgia Tech commitment is playing high-volume minutes on both sides of the ball now that it's crunch time. In the second-round win over Fairfield Central, Boyd played every offensive snap at tight end and proved it wouldn't affect his defensive productivity. He ended the game with five tackles, two tackles for loss, a sack and what amounted to the game-winning touchdown on an interception return.

[player_tooltip player_id='464885' first='Chanston' last='Crosby'] QB, Bamberg-Ehrhardt - The junior quarterback and Georgia state verbal commitment kept his hot streak going another week in the Red Raiders' 41-13 second-round win over East Clarendon. The win, which was Bamberg-Ehrhardt's 10th straight victory, was spurred by Crosby's 416 passing yards and three touchdowns. He completed 23-of-27 pass attempts.
