As you know, it doesn’t matter what time of year it may be, getting prospects out to college coaches and fans is what we are known for.
It doesn’t matter where the football player competes in Florida, we will make sure that everyone knows about them.
With the Region final around upon us, we will once again bring you five players who have been rising to the top during the state playoffs.
2025 – Antonio Henley, Jr., DT, 6-0, 260, Tampa Gaither. When it comes to making plays and displaying leadership, here is someone who has been responsible for the success of this program, heading into the Region Finals. In last week’s huge win, he came up with 11 tackles and six sacks in a shutout over Largo. It’s that kind of play that goes a long way in the recruiting process. College always want to see talent that performs at a high level.
2025 – Troy Holloway Troy Holloway 6'0" | 205 lbs | LB Jacksonville Bolles | 2025 FL , LB, 6-0, 205, Jacksonville Bolles. After an on and off season this year, the Bulldogs have put it all together, reaching the Region Finals, and while it has been a team effort, here is a young man, who truly has made an impact. From his work in the classroom (4.3 GPA) to his contribution in last week’s huge win, this is indeed one of the student/athletes to keep an eye on. Finishing with 11 tackles, 5 solo, 6 assists, 1 tackle for loss and 1 blocked field goal.
2027 – Zac Katz Zac Katz 6'2" | 180 lbs | QB Hollywood Chaminade-Madonna | 2027 FL , QB, 6-1, 195, Miami True North Classical Academy. Over the past two years, there have been very few young prospects who have stepped up and lived up to the hype more than this quality talent. Playing at the varsity level – in talented south Florida as an 8th grader last season, and as a freshman this year, there is no getting around that the future is indeed very bright. Leading his Titans to a district and region title last year, and on the verge of doing it again. In last week’s Region Semifinal win, he was 17 of 20 for 357 yards and 4 touchdowns and NO interceptions.
2025 – Shawn Simeon Shawn Simeon 5'10" | 170 lbs | ATH Naples | 2025 State FL , RB, 5-10, 180, Naples. Long before his record-setting performance last week in the Region Semifinal, this is someone who has been turning heads and attracting college interest from throughout the country. While he has been impressive all year, he did something extra special by carrying 27 times for a staggering 405 yards, 7 touchdowns – a school (TD’s and yards) and playoff state record for touchdowns. He is indeed the real deal!
2024 – Willy Suarez, Sr., WR, 5-10, 185, Tampa Jesuit. Having had the opportunity to watch him several times during the season and in the off-season, there is no getting around the impact that this quality pass-catcher brings to the table. In the Region Semifinal last week, he racked up 171 yards (150 receiving, 21 rushing) and four touchdowns (three receiving, one rushing).
