Katz nearly willed his team to a victory against national power Chaminade-Madonna. He threatened to run the football every snap, scoring twice on the ground, keeping the Lions’ defense off balance.

What stands out is his brute strength in taking on tacklers and his arm, which is arguably the strongest in South Florida. He can fit footballs into tight windows and also puts a nice touch on the deep ball. The FIU commit took some hits in the game but still battled through to the end.

Other Offers: Appalachian State, Georgia State, Ole Miss, Purdue

The FIU commit has an opportunity to make history at True North Classical Academy. The strong-armed QB can carry his team to a state title, which could position him for more nationwide notoriety.

Katz throws a strong football from the pocket and throws his teammates open for big gainers. He also fires it over the middle with precision on intermediate routes and can also throw accurate balls on the run. The high-volume thrower has already thrown for over 10k passing yards in his high school career, and will build on that number significantly this season.

Offers: FIU (committed), Georgia State, Howard, Purdue, Sacramento State

Katz is looking to build on an impressive junior season in 2026. The FIU commit has a cannon arm and continues to improve year after year. He led True North to a historic 10-3 record last year but lost to Chaminade-Madonna in the 1A regional finals.

His mechanics are above average, and he gets the ball out quickly with decisiveness. The athletic quarterback also demonstrates he can make off-script plays and throw accurately on the run. He puts a nice touch on deep balls and often throws his receivers open for big plays.

Katz also plays with fire, believing he is much better than some evaluators project, which drives him to improve with each game.
