Katz throws a strong football from the pocket and throws his teammates open for big gainers. He also fires it over the middle with precision on intermediate routes and can also throw accurate balls on the run. The high-volume thrower has already thrown for over 10k passing yards in his high school career, and will build on that number significantly this season.

Katz is looking to build on an impressive junior season in 2026. The FIU commit has a cannon arm and continues to improve year after year. He led True North to a historic 10-3 record last year but lost to Chaminade-Madonna in the 1A regional finals.
His mechanics are above average, and he gets the ball out quickly with decisiveness. The athletic quarterback also demonstrates he can make off-script plays and throw accurately on the run. He puts a nice touch on deep balls and often throws his receivers open for big plays.
Katz also plays with fire, believing he is much better than some evaluators project, which drives him to improve with each game.

South Florida is known for turning out skill position athletes at a high clip, but somebody has to get all those playmakers the ball …enter Katz. At 6-foot-2 and 180-pounds, he is a very promising pocket passer that should be making his way on to recruiting lists at every major university in the country. There’s already a video on his social media launching a 60-yard pass in the air, in front of coaches from Michigan. He’s advanced physically with a 9.5-inch hands and a wingspan of 74″. Don’t be surprised to see him get Varsity time very early.
