In this scouting report, we will take a closer look at some of the players to watch in the 4A semifinals, highlighting their strengths, and overall impact on their respective teams.
A unique mix of dual-threat abilities, Hall can beat an opponent on any given play in an array of ways. He is capable of making the big-play deep ball pass, he can move the chains with his feet, either by design or improvised on the fly and we even saw him deceive the defense this past season lining up at wideout and catch a pass. Currently, he is most dangerous as a runner, showcasing extremely fast speed and elusiveness in the open field—he can take it the distance at any moment. With his passing style, Hall thrives with his ability to create outside the pocket, demonstrating the athleticism to throw on the run, off platform and can make the untraditional throw look easy.

Griffin is a patient runner with phenomenal field vision and can turn a loss of yards into a five-yard gain and the defense can’t stop it from happening. He is also a smooth and clean route runner with very good hands. He also understands how to get open and be a great outlet for his quarterback. He has an outstanding work ethic and no matter the score, he is giving everything he has. Powerful legs that never stop moving. This gives him the ability to be very fast and still can run through a defense.
McCreary is capable of driving the football over the middle, possessing solid velocity. He hits open targets that are moving over the middle reliably. Displaying recognition skills when kept clean, he identifies mismatches and gets the ball there quickly. McCreary takes his lower half through progressions and sets up to throw in the quick game. He is most comfortable having a built-in check down on plays. Often more keen to scramble and make something happen with his feet than stand in the pocket, deliver a ball and take a hit.
Finding the ball is something he does consistently on tape, with routine plays involving turnovers. Constantly running to and through the ball carrier. A clean hitter that forces fumbles with hit velocity. Active feet and fluid hips to carry three strong in coverage or drop from a mugged look. He can flow to the boundary and tackle the ball carrier before he gets to the track.

It starts with his speed. Miller plays with a different level of speed, He comes downhill fast and has the range to play sideline to sideline. On outside zone runs, Miller uses his speed to track down ball carriers with ease and make an impactful tackle. Miller hits extremely hard and is going to light up ball carriers whenever he gets the chance. Miller’s instincts were very good, showing that his football IQ and he can have success wherever he is asked to play. As a quarterback spy, Miller displays the explosion and speed to prevent them from breaking off big runs. Miller fills the alley well and when he has a free rush to the quarterback from his linebacker spot, it usually ends up in a sack.
