As scouts and talent evaluators, it’s essential to identify the standout prospects during this phase of the playoffs. These prospects are the players who demonstrate exceptional skills, athleticism, and potential to excel at the professional level. In this scouting report, we will analyze and evaluate the standout prospects in the 3rd round playoffs, providing detailed insights into their strengths and overall potential.
Jordan King
Jordan King
King is a shifty, explosive receiver with the change-of-direction skills to work himself open early in the down, the long speed to separate late in the down, and the burst to create after the catch. King relies on footwork and stutter-step moves to beat press-aligned defenders after the snap and snaps off his routes well with crisp breaks and fluid movement skills. One of the things that King does extremely well is transition immediately from receiver to athlete after the catch.
Myers throws from a wide, balanced base with a quick, over-the-top release. He has a natural feel for the pocket, sliding away from pressure or stepping up to make a throw. He flashes the ability to throw with anticipation, often releasing his pass before his target has made their break or separated from the defense. He can take some velocity off his throws to layer them over second-level defenders to hit his target in stride. He looks off safeties to manipulate coverage and consistently gives his receivers a chance to make a play against tight coverage, throwing them open by putting the ball where only they can get it.

Ja’Michael Jones
Ja’Michael Jones
For a back with his speed and quickness, Jones also has a nice sense of when and how to follow his blocks, and then get explosive when necessary. He’s fast, but he’s not frenetic. His third-level speed is plus-average, and he accentuates that with body lean and subtle acceleration to get past cornerbacks and safeties who might otherwise outrun him. That body lean into his speed cuts also keeps him away from contact as he’s gearing up from the first and second levels.
Tae Martin
Tae Martin
He shows an ability to release off the line, using quick feet to juke defenders and an effective hesitation move to blow past them downfield. He brings explosive short-area quickness, and showed the ability to make the first defender miss after the catch. Martin, a dangerous vertical route runner, was frequently targeted on go routes downfield. He brings a big catch radius and the ability to pluck the ball away from his frame, regularly reaching back to grab an off target pass or go up high to reel it in. He uses his frame to his advantage and knows how to box out at the catch point, exploiting his typical size advantage to keep defenders on his hip.
