Ja’Quan Bentley – RB – Upson-Lee
A tough senior back from Thomaston who can make plays at both running back and linebacker, Bentley is a physically imposing runner at 6-foot-1 195-pounds who is currently committed to play at Georgia Southern. A very productive back throughout his career, Bentley is clearly one of the top backs in Middle Georgia and is now ranked as the No. 284 prospect in Georgia in the latest update. The Upson-Lee standout is a powerful back for his size who runs with patience. The senior has rushed for 1,306 yards on 177 carries for an average of 7.4 yards per carry. He’s also averaging an impressive 145 yards per game while rushing for 18 touchdowns. He’s rushed for at least 90 yards in every game this season while hitting the 100-yard mark in 8 of his 9 games. His best game came against Pike County where he rushed for 259 yards and four touchdowns.
Cameron Flowers Cameron Flowers 6'0" | 165 lbs | WR Warner Robins | 2024 State GA – ATH – Warner Robins
A speedy receiver/defensive back out of Warner Robins, Flowers is a natural playmaker who absolutely earned the right to be ranked in the latest update, now coming in at No. 278 overall in the state for the 2024 class. A current Western Kentucky commitment, Flowers is a 5-foot-11 180-pounder with a natural feel for the game. A big time weapon on offense due to his burst and ability to make a big catch down the field, his athleticism and ball skills allow him to be a stout defensive back as well. As a pass-catcher, Flowers is a major weapon in the screen and short passing game due to his ability to elude defenders and pick up yards after the catch. His consistency and reliable hands have made him one of the more dependable receivers in the area this year in the 2024 class. As a junior last year, Flowers has made 31 catches for 684 yards and 10 touchdowns.
Tony Mathis Tony Mathis 6'1" | 180 lbs | DB Westside | 2024 State GA Jr – DB – Westside
One of the top overall defenders in Macon, Mathis Jr. is a talented defensive back who is currently committed to play for the Ohio Bobcats at the next level. A solid three-star prospect, Mathis is a hard-hitting defender with plenty of versatility in the secondary. Whether he’s lined up at cornerback or safety, Mathis Jr. has the ability to make a big play when the ball is in the area. A sure tackler, this Middle Georgia standout knows how to wrap up and deliver a sound, fundamental tackle on the ball-carrier. He’s also a threat to make plays on special teams with his ability to block kicks and punts on a fairly consistent basis. As a senior this fall, the playmaking defensive back has made 87 tackles, three TFLs, two sacks, two INTs, three forced fumbles, and two blocked punts. He’s now ranked by Prep Redzone as the No. 121 overall prospect in Georgia for the 2024 class.
