Antonian Prep vs Central Catholic

This is always one of the biggest games in the city of San Antonio that's not considered a 6A matchup. Antonian Prep has won the last two meetings versus Central Catholic after dropping a few of their own in years past. With this leader at QB Jayce Toscano and the emergence of stud running back Landon Prouty who also picked up 2 player of the week awards last week this matchup will live up to the hype and will come down to who can control the turnover margin. Expect a lot of emotion going into this game.

John Jay vs Harlan (week 9)

John Jay is having arguably the best season it has had in recent school history with a hot 7-0 start headed into their week 9 matchup vs Harlan since they have a bye this week. Harlan and John Jay are on a crash course to take the top spot in the district. Although John Jay has a better record, this match up will be must see tv when these two face-off. Get your popcorn ready because next week this will be the game of the week.

Taft vs Sotomayor

Both teams are 4-2 going into this district game and although Sotomayor is one of the newest schools/teams to the city. Sotomayor branched off from Harlan High School and there was no shortage of talent when they opened up this soon to be powerhouse in the city of San Antonio. They didn't have the best year last year being their first season but if they can beat Taft they can make a case for themselves as possible contenders in this loaded city of San Antonio.

Churchill vs Clark

Churchill is 4-2 on the season and Clark is 4-3 but could easily be 6-1 minus a few key mistakes. The same can be said for Churchill who started off the season 3-0 before a huge upset to undefeated San [player_tooltip player_id='1896734' first='Antonio' last='Johnson']. If Churchill comes out firing and stays disciplined they will be able to walk away from this game victorious but once they put their foot on the gas they can't let up.

Burbank vs Jefferson

Burbank is coming off a huge 41-0 win vs McCollum and will be facing a tough Jefferson team who will be coming off a huge 50-0 defeat to Alamo Heights. Jefferson has a utility man in 2024 QB Amonte Carter who will run the ball 15-20 times a game and literally put the team on his back to get it done. If Jefferson can clean up the mistakes from last weeks game and put pressure on the Burbank QB this game could side in their favor. Any given Friday anything can happen.
