Steele vs New Braunfels
Thursday night showdown between Powerhouse Steele Knights vs the New Braunfels Unicorns is set to take place at New Braunfels. Steele 4-1 is coming off a big win over Birmingham out of Lake Balboa, Ca while New Braunfels 2-3 is coming off a big win vs Brenham. This will be a big game for both sides as senior WR Lance Beeghley faces a tough Steele secondary with senior Vanderbilt commit Dontae Carter who was a recently offered by USC. The team with the least mistakes and most discipline will win this game.
East Central vs Judson
East Central is 2-3 but their record is not a true indication of their game play this season as they were in every game at some point but ended up leaving more points on the field than the score board. Judson 1-4 seems to be struggling this season trying to find a rhythm so this week against East Central should be a solid test of their will and their character as they face off at East Central.
Davenport vs Taylor
Davenport 3-2 started off the season with a huge 60-28 win over Victoria West but dropped two in a row. Davenport is now coming off a 41-0 win over Devine and they’re set to take on the Taylor Ducks out of Taylor, Tx who is also 3-2. This will be a huge district game this Friday as the two are set to face off in Taylor.
Southside vs Cigarroa
Southside 5-1 looks like a well oiled machine as they’re coming off a close nail biter of a win over South San Antonio 27-26. Cigarroa is 0-5 as they’re seeking their first win of the season. Southside looks to prove in this district game that they are exactly who they think they are and that’s a dominate force. This should be a high scoring game for Southside if they put their foot on the gas and keep it there.
Southwest Legacy vs Martin
Southwest Legacy is 3-2 on the season and 1-1 on the road so as they travel to face off against Martin 2-4 down in Laredo it’ll be interesting to see if they can steal a win on the road. Martin is 1-2 at home so they look to make a home stand this week and protect their house.
