Luke Priester - Chattahoochee

A productive, under the radar quarterback in Fulton County, Priester may not be a D1 prospect right now, but he's been playing lights out for the last two weeks. A good runner who can make plays with both his feet and his arm, this up ad coming junior is playing better and better every time he takes the field. The light has started to come on and he's played excellent football of last. Two weeks ago, Priester threw for 262 yards and four touchdowns in a big win over North Springs. He followed that up with an even bigger performance against Northview where he threw for 290 yards and five touchdowns. He's shown good pocket presence, accuracy, and the ability to lead his team. Through his first eight games, the Chattahoochee quarterback has thrown for 1,451 yards and 16 touchdowns, with nine of those touchdowns coming in the last two games. He's also thrown for at least 165 yards in six of his eight games this season. He's a quarterback to keep an eye on the rest of the season.

[player_tooltip player_id='1293263' first='Jim' last='Franklin'] - Aquinas

A mobile, athletic quarterback who loves to throw the ball down the field, Franklin might be the best overall quarterback in Augusta right now. The big 6-foot-4 200-pounder is tough to bring down in the backfield and has one of the biggest arms in the area for his class. He stands tall in the pocket, but shows enough mobility to elude defenders while keeping his eyes open to receivers. He's been very accurate this season, completing 70% of his passes so far this fall. The arm talent is playmaking ability is easy to notice, and it's helped him lead his Aquinas team to a 6-1 record. So far, Franklin has thrown for 1,402 yards and 14 touchdowns with just two INTs. Last week against Towns County, he was a perfect 8/8 for 223 yards and four touchdowns. His biggest game may have come in a loss against Harlem where he threw for 309 yards and four touchdowns. He's playing excellent football and will only get better as the season moves along.

Shane Throgmartin - Mill Creek

A breakout quarterback in 7A this fall, Throgmartin took over a team that won the 7A title last year and made them a contender to win it all for the second year in a row. As a junior, the 6-foot-2 200-pounder has shown excellent footwork in the pocket, good field vision, and the ability to rip the ball down the field. He's a leader who understands his job and takes care of the football. He's played consistent, winning football all season long, leading the Hawks to an undefeated 7-0 record. He may not be lighting up the stat sheet with his 1,113 yards and 15 touchdowns, but he's doing what needs to be done to win games. He's flashed D1-caliber talent and could see his recruitment pick up soon. He came up big recently against powerhouse Buford, throwing for 235 yards and two touchdowns against an incredibly talented defense for a big region win. However, his best game came against Archer where he threw for 275 yards and four touchdowns.
